Good night, beloved witches and keepers of the old wheel...
Gather close, as our ancestors did when the year turned,
and let me tell you a tale
about the Snake and the Horse.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗗𝗮𝘆𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗻𝗮𝗸𝗲
There was once a year ruled by the Wood Snake...
a creature of wisdom, patience, and hidden fire.
The Snake taught us to move slowly,
to shed what no longer fit,
to coil inward and conserve our strength.
She whispered: 𝘕𝘰𝘵 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘴𝘦𝘦𝘯.
𝘚𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴 𝘩𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘦𝘯 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘢𝘳𝘬.
And for a full cycle of the moon,
we learned her lessons well.
We released old skin.
We let go of what was too small to contain us.
We moved with intention, not haste.
We honored the shedding, the molting, the sacred work of becoming.
But now...
NOW
the Snake's year is ending.
These are her final days.
February 15, 16...
And the Snake asks one last thing of us:
𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝘁𝗲 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗱.
Finish the shedding.
Release the final piece of old skin still clinging to you.
Tie up the loose ends.
Honor what this year taught you...
the patience, the wisdom, the slow transformation
before the energy shifts entirely.
Because on 𝗙𝗲𝗯𝗿𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟭𝟳𝘁𝗵,
everything changes.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗳 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲
February 17th, 2026, is no ordinary day.
It is the 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿,
the day the Snake steps down
and the 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗛𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗲 gallops in.
But it is also something more.
On this exact day,
the 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗺𝗼𝗼𝗻 rises in Aquarius,
and a 𝗿𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗲𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗽𝘀𝗲 carves a ring of fire across the Antarctic sky.
The spiritual communities are calling it the 𝗘𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗽𝘀𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗹.
And they're not wrong.
This is a convergence of endings and beginnings
like we haven't seen in 60 years.
The last time the Fire Horse ruled
was 1966...
a year of revolution, upheaval, cultural transformation.
And now it returns.
With fire. With speed. With 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗺.
The eclipse...
that ring of light around the darkened sun...
is the universe drawing a cosmic circle,
a boundary between what was and what will be.
The Snake whispers her last wisdom.
The Horse stamps her hooves, impatient to run.
And the moon slides across the sun,
marking the moment of turning.
This is Threshold Magick on a cosmic scale.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗛𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗲
Let me tell you about the Horse.
She is not patient like the Snake.
She does not move slowly.
She does not wait for permission.
The Horse is 𝗬𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲...
the blazing sun at its peak,
the energy of courage, action, visibility.
She is speed and spirit,
movement and 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘂𝗺.
Where the Snake said 𝘞𝘢𝘪𝘵, 𝘸𝘢𝘵𝘤𝘩, 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘯,
the Horse says 𝘎𝘖. 𝘕𝘖𝘞. 𝘍𝘈𝘚𝘛.
She is the gallop.
The leap.
The charge forward into open territory.
And when you add 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝗲 to the Horse...
You get double yang.
Double heat.
Double 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆.
The Fire Horse appears only once every 60 years.
She is rare. She is powerful.
She is 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀.
This is a year that refuses stagnation.
A year that burns away hesitation.
A year that demands you stop planning
and start 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴.
But here's what the old stories also teach:
Ahh... Fire Horse years are NOT gentle.
They bring upheaval, change, disruption.
They ask you to be brave, bold, authentic.
They reward action and punish hesitation.
This is the energy of the 𝗽𝗵𝗼𝗲𝗻𝗶𝘅 𝗿𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴...
but remember, beloved,
the phoenix must 𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗻 first.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵
So what does the Snake-to-Horse transition teach us?
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗻𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗮𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂:
✤ Patience and strategic thinking
✤ Shedding what no longer serves
✤ Moving with intention, not impulse
✤ Trusting the process of slow transformation
✤ Honoring the hidden work that happens in darkness
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂:
✤ Bold, decisive action
✤ Speed and forward momentum
✤ Visibility and authenticity
✤ Courage to leap before you're "ready"
✤ Trust in your instincts and ability to adapt mid-gallop
The Snake prepared you.
Now the Horse asks you to 𝘂𝘀𝗲 what you learned.
The Snake said: 𝘛𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘢𝘳𝘬.
The Horse says: 𝘕𝘰𝘸 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘭𝘥 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶'𝘷𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗗𝗼 𝗶𝗻 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗗𝗮𝘆𝘀
Now,
we are in the 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱...
the space between Snake and Horse,
the final days before the turning.
Here's what the witch knows to do:
1️⃣ Honor the Snake's lessons.
What did this past year teach you?
What did you release?
What skin did you shed?
Write it down.
Speak it aloud.
Acknowledge the transformation that happened...
even if it was painful,
even if it's not "done" yet.
The Snake deserves your gratitude.
2️⃣ Finish what you started.
What's still incomplete?
What project, what healing, what release
is 𝘢𝘭𝘮𝘰𝘴𝘵 done but not quite?
These next days are your chance
to tie up loose ends,
to complete the shedding,
to finish the Snake year's work
before the Horse demands you gallop forward.
3️⃣ Prepare your threshold.
On 𝗙𝗲𝗯𝗿𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟭𝟳𝘁𝗵, the energy shifts hard.
Remember, this is not a gentle transition.
This is an eclipse. A new moon. A Fire Horse.
So prepare:
✤ Cleanse your space (smoke, salt, sound)
✤ Set your intentions for the Horse year
✤ Write down what you're ready to 𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗲 𝗼𝗻
✤ Light candles (red for fire, gold for the Horse)
✤ Stand at your doorway and speak your readiness
4️⃣ Work with the Eclipse Portal energy.
The eclipse on February 17th is an 𝗮𝗻𝗻𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗲𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗽𝘀𝗲...
a ring of fire in the sky.
Even if you can't see it physically (it's only visible in Antarctica),
the energy is 𝗴𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹.
This is portal energy.
This is transformation magnified.
At the moment of the new moon/eclipse (7:01 AM EST),
light a candle and speak what you're calling in:

So here we are, beloved,
standing between the Snake and the Horse,

between preparation and 𝗚𝗢.
The Snake whispers: 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘥𝘪𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬. 𝘠𝘰𝘶'𝘳𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘺.

This is the teaching of the turning.
You needed the Snake year
to do the invisible work,
to transform in the dark,
to shed what you weren't.
And now you need the Horse year
to 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂'𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲,
to move with the fire you've been building,
to gallop toward what's calling you.
The eclipse portal on February 17th
is your cosmic starting gate.
The ring of fire in the sky
is your signal.
And when the Fire Horse begins to run..
ahh...
𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗿𝘂𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗵𝗲𝗿.
Boldly... (yet not recklessly).
Without hesitation... (yet not without preparation).
The Snake taught you wisdom.
The Horse will teach you courage.

Together they'll teach you how to transform

Honor the Snake.
