Active Weather on Friday.
Steady snow will spread across the region during the morning, then become a bit heavier earlier in the afternoon before breaking up into light snow showers by 3-5pm.

Higher elevations receive upwards of 6-12 cm of snow.
Valley bottoms receive rain or 4-8 cm of wet snow depending on temperatures.

From there, occasional snow showers then linger through Friday evening, although most hours are looking dry. Snow levels should also rise to 600-700 m once the steady snow breaks into showers, which may allow rain to mix down to valley floors and roads to run wet.

Well this makes work difficult…

UPDATE: Thurs Dec 4th - This project will be completed by this afternoon as they have run into several delays.

The City of Nelson has been advised by Canadian Pacific Kansas City Railway (CPKC) that rail line maintenance to replace signal cables will take place starting at 6 am Tuesday December 2nd to 6 am Thursday December 4th.
To accommodate this work, the 100 block of Hall Street will be closed to vehicle traffic. Detour routes will be clearly marked, please follow all posted signage and allow extra time when travelling through the area.
