Ear acupuncture targets specific points in your ear that connect to your entire body. Here are a few of the most common benefits:

Reduces stress and anxiety: It calms your nervous system by activating points that signal your body to exit fight-or-flight mode. If you're constantly wound up or overthinking, this helps bring you back down.

Eases pain and tension: Whether it's headaches, neck pain, or chronic discomfort, ear acupuncture works on the pathways that process pain.

Improves sleep quality: When your body's stressed, sleep suffers. Calming your system and easing physical tension helps you fall asleep more easily and stay asleep longer.

Supports relaxation: It works on nerve pathways that control your body's stress response. When those are calmed, your muscles soften and your system shifts out of survival mode.

We offer ear acupuncture at our student clinic in Nelson. Sessions are supervised, affordable, and we are open for bookings. Book your session through our website and give your body the reset it needs.

Education for Heart and Mind

Kootenay Columbia College of Integrative Health Sciences (formerly the Academy of Classical Oriental Sciences) is situated right in the heart of downtown Nelson, BC. Founded in 1996 as a Traditional Chinese Medicine school, Joanne Sinclaire took leadership in 2014 and forged two new programs: Registered Massage Therapy Program and the Holistic Nutrition Certificate Program. A former teacher and student of the Academy, Joanne sought to bring health services education based on practical, hands-on experience to the Kootenays. Our students are able to provide local Kootenay residents with excellent care at an affordable price, improving their clients’ health and quality of life while honing their own practical skills through clinical practice. Our exceptional faculty of instructors share their knowledge and professional experience through a wide range of learning environments that include "hands-on" labs, traditional classroom as well as a student clinic setting.
