Defenselessness isn’t about staying silent or accepting harm — it’s about releasing the need to convince, justify, or prove your worth.

From a trauma-informed lens, this means honouring your boundaries while choosing not to engage in unnecessary struggle. It’s allowing yourself to rest in your truth, knowing you don’t need to explain your experience for it to be valid.

When we soften the urge to defend, our nervous system can settle.
We become more receptive, grounded, and open to understanding.

Taking time to rest, recharge, and renew isn’t a luxury — it’s an essential part of maintaining a healthy lifestyle and emotional balance. Just as nature slows down and restores itself, we too need moments of stillness to reset our nervous system, reflect, and realign with what matters most. We can then allow ourselves the space to pause, breathe deeply, and come back to your life with greater clarity, presence, and calm.

In this spirit, I encourage you to find space in your for rest. Whether it is 15 minutes a day or two weeks off. Find what is accessible and feasible for you.

I would also like to inform clients I’ll be taking my own time for rest and renewal starting November 17, returning to sessions on December 3. If you’d like to ensure you have a session booked before or shortly after that time, I encourage you to schedule soon.

Current Schedule:

Wednesdays 9am–4pm — Virtual + Walk & Talk
Thursdays 9am–3pm — Virtual + In the Dome
Fridays 9am–3pm — Virtual + In the Dome
First Sunday of every month 12pm-7pm — Virtual + In the Dome

I’m also considering adding Tuesday evenings (5–9pm) to make sessions more accessible. If this timing would support you, please let me know — I’d love your feedback.

Wellness Tip:

As the days grow shorter, try creating a small “evening ritual” to help your mind and body transition into rest — a few slow breaths, gentle stretching, or a candlelit moment of reflection can do wonders for your nervous system.

What if healing didn’t have to be hard?
What if ease — not struggle — was the path forward?

The law of least effort teaches that when we stop resisting what is and start flowing with life, energy is freed up for growth, clarity, and change.

But how does that work? The answer is RAD.
Responsibility - Acceptance - Defencelessness

Coming back into the here and now present moment. Accepting that this is the current situation/reality and releasing the need to control it. And doing so without judgements or blame towards yourself or others. Taking responsibility for your emotions, and not taking on the responsibility of others emotions. Releasing the need to share your point of view. Declare your personal intention to yourself without justifying anything. Viewing problems as the seeds to solutions versus road blocks keeping you from your desires.

This doesn’t happen over night. It takes practice to reprogram your mind and shift the way you respond to situations. This can look like consciously becoming aware of your habits without judgment, naming it and then reminding yourself of RAD. It can be paired with meditative sessions or therapies to support this process.
