These four needs are essential for healthy development as children. When one of the needs are missed, our sense of self can become distorted and impact us later in life. Although we cannot change our upbringing, we can try to cultivate these needs now. 🌱

"It's too late to change things." "I should have done it sooner".

I hear these statements a lot in my sessions, and this quote does speak to this. Of course, things could have changed or felt better sooner if we had acted back then. However, the best thing we can do is take the chance now and change our life now. It is never too late for growth, you just have to try and plant the seed 🌱✨

When faced with an issue, most people want to fix it and fix it...yesterday!

This dynamic tends to show up in my office. Clients wanting to "fix" themselves or others and are wanting the results now. Therapy can take time.

ATTENTION: For all those who are parents and those who hope to be, this book is for you.

“Good Inside” by Dr. Becky Kennedy speaks to the importance of curiosity, connection and safety for our children. This book touches on themes such as attachment, human development, emotions and boundaries... Things we ALL as humans should be aware of and working on improving. I think “Good Inside” is a must-read to improve the lives of our children as they navigate the world, as well as making our lives as parents feel better. Be careful though, you will learn a lot about yourself through this book and this insight will make you a better parent 🙌
