I came across this tree on a walk yesterday and I was immediately called to it. Many trees call out to me so I figured I was just going over to say ‘hi’ when I noticed the stunning contrast between the green of the tree and the red of the berries. At first I was overcome by the beauty of it and stood in quiet contemplation of the berries on that tree. Berries that shouldn’t be there. As my awareness started to kick back in I realized the berries were on a vine that had climbed the tree, and it was only on one side of the tree. In fact, the poor tree was being pulled in the direction of those vines and has a very large lean to it. If nothing is done those beautiful vines will kill it. How many of us are like that. People in our lives see beauty on or in or around us, but that beautiful thing they see might actually be killing us. Perhaps it’s time to let go of what isn’t serving your highest good, regardless of what others may think or say. If you find yourself struggling to free yourself from the thing that’s killing you, whether that be physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually, creatively, or any other -ly you can think of, reach out to a friend, family, even a professional for help. We are communal beings and often need the support of others for our highest good. Even trees reach out for help! I’m going to cut the vines at the base of the tree and see if she can’t recover on her own from there. So get your beautiful, deadly life vines cut Dear Ones, and use your community to support your highest good 💜
