We are incredibly inspired and grateful for the generosity of Sarah Nelson and Wayne Marquis, who donated $10,000 to Marigold Hospice Care. Sarah has truly gone above and beyond to support our hospice. For her birthday, she organized a fundraiser, encouraging her friends to donate instead of giving her gifts. Building Our Hospice, Building Hope

A heartfelt thank you to J.J. McGuire General Contractors, Carpenters Union Local 397, and Duncan Ceiling and Wall Systems for their incredible generosity and support in building our hospice residence.

We were pleased to welcome Jeff Robinson, Josh Neville, and Darren Kok to the hospice to celebrate their generous $135,000 donation and see firsthand the beautiful space they helped create. They treated the project as if it were their own home, with pride, care, and attention to every detail, and helped us stay on budget every step of the way.

A special thank you to Kyle Newbold, Project Manager and Joe Maiuri, Site Superintendent for J.J. McGuire, who worked closely with Denise Kearsey, Marigold Hospice Care’s Project Manager. What started out as colleagues grew into a friendship as they brought our vision to life — a true example of teamwork, dedication, and heart.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the official opening of Marigold Hospice Care! We are beyond grateful for your support and enthusiasm. Today was filled with smiles, laughter, and many cherished memories as we celebrated this new chapter together.

Before we open our doors to residents, a sacred Indigenous smudging ceremony was held at Marigold Hospice Care. The traditional ceremony, guided by Grandmother Kim Wheatley, used the smoke of sacred medicines to bring positive energy and cleanse the space — offering blessings of peace, healing, and new beginnings.
