I recently had the honour of speaking at the DeFazio Taylor Health & Safety Labour Seminar in downtown Toronto.

It was an incredible experience, one that I am very grateful for. Chat4Chad was founded in North Bay but our message is universal, a message of hope and positivity when we make talking ok and normal.

These conversations are never easy, but the outcomes can be life changing. When we share, we create a safe space for others to share as well, that is the power of conversation.

We all have the ability to help, so let’s keep chatting, EARLY, OFTEN, NOW!

In partnership with the North Bay Battalion, Chat4Chad was excited to hand out our new Battalion styled C4C hats!

You’ll see the Troops wearing them around town in support of Chat4Chad. You can get yours at the Battalion retail store with 100% of the proceeds going right back into our community to support mental health.

In partnership with Canadore College, Chat4Chad is proud to support their new “I Can Thrive” program.

This incredible new program will support students with mental health challenges and provide them with the assistance and resources necessary to be successful!

The Foundation extends its gratitude to Wade Ringler and Chat4Chad for their generous donation of $25,400 in support of the "I Can Thrive" program at Canadore College. The "I Can Thrive" initiative is designed to empower students facing mental health challenges by providing a supportive, inclusive and holistic framework. This program aims to reduce isolation, build resilience and foster community connections through personalized interactions, educational workshops, mentorship and wellness activities.

The launch of the Youth Mental Health Ambassador Program in the coming months will provide young leaders with the skills and ability to change the narrative and help remove the stigma surrounding mental health.

With a gift of $50,000, we will be able to deliver ASIST (Applied Su***de Intervention Skills Training) to community groups across our region and develop a Youth Mental Health Ambassador Program, launching in community settings next fall.

This investment will equip young leaders and community partners with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to support positive mental health and well-being for youth and families.

I had the privilege of speaking with this incredible group of young men to emphasize the importance of taking care of your mental health. These conversations can be hard, but are necessary and need to start NOW!
