Some of the incredible moments of 2025 for Acting for Stage and Screen ! Theatre Canadore sells out 3 nights of “ Clue on Stage” , standing room only for Chicago with public appearances at the Gala , On the Edge Fringe fundraiser and a dinner theatre with 100 Elements! Field trip to Stratford Festival, guest workshops with R.H. Thompson and Stratford ! Headshots with Ed Regan ! Public performances of “Fair Play” a student originated script directed by Kelsey Rhul, and Much Ado About Nothing directed by Joshua Bainbridge. So much pride for our students and faculty! stay tuned for all the exciting things coming up in 2026.

This has been such an exciting semester at Acting for Stage and Screen! Today we had the sheer privilege of being visited by RH Thomson ! Such an inspiration for the students to learn from this iconic Canadian actor!

What a phenomenal experience for our students today “Macker’s” workshop with Geoffrey Pounsett! Fun fact Geoff directed in the first year of our program in “Refuge”. Such a pleasure to have him on the David Fox Stage as a colleague and friend of David’s on the fourth anniversary of David’s passing. 🎭❤️

Our third year class had an incredible experience on our Stratford Festival Theatre field trip last week! They even got to get on the Avon Theatre stage in a workshop and talk with cast members from Annie. At Canadore experiential learning is a core value !

Another huge success for alumni of Canadore College’s Acting for Stage and Screen!
Itty Bitty Productions hosted a a screening of Kelsey Rhul’s new tv series “Saint City Sparrows” availbe to watch on Bell Fibe
The cast includes 3 principal roles from 3 different graduating years ( Jennifer Carroll , Kaitlin Stewart and Kelsey Rhul ) and former program coordinator and professor Nancy Thompson !
Co directed by Kelsey Rhul and Joshua Bainbridge.

Hilarious, poignant, and exceptionally written. Check it out! You won’t be sorry!

Joshua Bainbridge is alumni of Acting for Stage and Screen as well as a core faculty member heading our film curriculum and directing the last two seasons of Theatre Canadore ❤️

We have a whole lot of news to shout about, and we'll start by singing the praises of Joshua Bainbridge. Josh has been a very busy actor. From being part of a panel at Cinefest in Sudbury, to the premiere of the film "Nobel + The Kid," in which he is the Lead, to filming "What We Have Left" in the Sault, alongside some great Canadian name actors, to being cast in major roles in "Ugly," shooting in Sudbury and "Shore Of Secrets," shooting in Toronto, there has not been a moment of downtime for this Canadore College graduate and instructor. Stay tuned for more exciting news about some other Nexus Talent Group actors.

Last day of the semester! Our second year students absolutely killed it in their presentation of Chicago to an overflowing house. What an incredible way to end the year. Theatre heals. ❤️🎭❤️
