More stress = more conflict? You’re not the only couple feeling it.
Holidays can increase tension about money, in-laws, time with each family, parenting, and traditions. Conflict doesn’t mean your relationship is broken—but it might mean you need new tools.
Try this:
• Pause before reacting; take a breath
• Use “I feel…” instead of “You always…”
• Talk about the problem as a team: “How can we handle this together?”

Remember:

• It’s okay to say, “This year we need to keep things simple”

The holiday season can be overstimulating for children—and emotionally draining for parents. When routines disappear, behaviours can change.
Supportive ideas:
• Keep 1–2 routines consistent (for example, bedtime or quiet time)
• Prepare your child before events (“There will be many people and noise”)
• Create a calm corner with soft items, books, or headphones
You are not a “bad parent” if you feel overwhelmed. Parenting is hard, and you deserve support too. ❤️🧠
