Have you ever wondered how trot pulls help build your horses top line? ππͺ
When your horse trots over poles they need to lift their legs higher and engage the core to stay balanced. That abdominal contraction lifts through the top line, activating the muscles along the back and helping to strengthen them over time.
It's similar to when we do a bird dog or bear crawl exercise. Both movements require us to stabilize through the core to support and protect our spine. Horses do the same thing when they go over trot poles!
So next time you set up poles, remember: it's not just a legwork, it's a full body workout that builds core strength, posture and spinal stability!
