Here’s to a new year filled with strength, movement, and moments where your body surprises you in the best way.

To choose yourself.

To listen inward.

To take that next small step toward feeling better, even when it feels big.

I’m grateful for everyone who trusted me with their healing this year.

And I’m excited for everything we’ll walk through together in 2026. ✨

May this be the year you feel more connected to your body, more supported, and more hopeful than ever.

Here’s to moving forward — literally and figuratively. 😃

Happy New Year, Jackie 🎉

Jackie Vandertuin Therapy was built on faith before the evidence and trust that is shaped by experience. This year has been a beautiful reminder that healing is based on treating the whole person: physical, psychological, spiritual.

That same faith lives in The Inner Practice podcast. It is the belief that connection is real and that our shared stories create healing in ways we may never fully see. ✨

To my clients: Thank you for the privilege of your trust.

It is deeply meaningful to me, and I’ve truly loved the profound ways we’ve connected this year. At the heart of this work is the simple intention that you feel seen, heard, and valued through an exchange of presence and positive energy.

May the new year bring peace to your body, mind, and spirit.

Om, Shanti 🤍

Wishing you a season that feels gentle, grounding, and full of the kind of moments your body can exhale into.

The holidays can be busy, overwhelming, and emotional, especially if you’ve been carrying pain or stress in your body.
This is your reminder to pause, breathe, and allow yourself to rest.

May your holidays be peaceful, bright, and exactly what you need them to be.
Thank you for inviting me into your healing journey this year; it truly is an honour I never take lightly.

Sending peace, love and light,

Jackie 🎄✨

The Gift of the Magi first captured me when I was a young graduate student, newly married with little possessions. We had very little, but so much love to give.

O. Henry's story is similar to those stories of The Inner Practice; of growth through sacrifice and love through intention.

Two people let go of what they value most, not to gain, but to give. In doing so, they are transformed. This story epitomizes the true meaning of the Christmas season: love practiced daily, quietly, and wholeheartedly.

This is my favourite tradition this time of year, reading and reflecting on this story. May this story and season help you find peace, love, and joy that transcends the boughten gifts and the myriad of meals. May the spirit of The Gift of The Magi find you year round.

Sunday, we honour the Winter Solstice — the longest night and the turning back toward light. ✨✨✨

Less light.
Colder air.
A natural slowing.

I notice “winter” in my body:

in my joints

my energy,

and how much longer it takes to warm up.

Nothing is wrong. This is how we adapt.

Winter asks the nervous system to protect, to conserve, to soften.
It’s a time to listen.

Today marks the longest night, and also the turning point.
The light begins its slow return.✨

Sometimes all the body needs is permission to rest in that knowing.

Stay warm friends,

Jackie

Grief doesn't disappear.
It changes shape. It softens. It teaches.

In this episode, I share a short story I wrote of loss, love, and the quiet strength passed down through generations of women, the ones who walked before us and still walk beside us. When I slow down and listen, I can feel them: steady, loving, guiding me forward when the weight feels heavy.

This is a story about grief as a testament to love, about ancestry as a refuge, and the gentle whispers that remind us that we are never alone.

As a Certified Athletic Therapist, my services are covered under many major health insurance plans.
Every provider is a little different, but most clients are surprised to learn they already have coverage they haven’t used.

If you’re dealing with chronic or acute pain, recovering from an injury, or looking for a more holistic approach to movement and nervous system support, your plan may help make that care more accessible.

But here’s the part I’m equally grateful for…
many clients come to see me without benefits, too.
They choose this work because they want to feel supported, understood, and empowered in their healing — and that trust means so much to me.

Whether you have coverage or not, my intention is the same:
to help you understand your body, reduce fear around movement, and support you through chronic or acute pain in a holistic, thoughtful way.
