PROTEIN GRANOLA RECIPE 💥👇 Creating a healthy body and lifestyle all begins with what you are fuelling with. This granola recipe is a win all around! It is full of nutrients, fibre, healthy fats and protein, plus it is a nice hearty and cozy recipe to help get you through these cold fall days. It makes for a delicious breakfast or snack. This recipe can also easily be doubled!🍂
INGREDIENTS (makes 4 servings): 1 cup quick oats, 1/4 cup chia seeds, 1/4 cup each of pumpkin seeds and slivered almonds, 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup, 1 tsp vanilla extract, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1/4 cup melted coconut oil, 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder
DIRECTIONS: Combine all ingredients except the protein powder in a bowl. You may need more coconut oil, the mixture should be slightly damp. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and empty the bowl onto the sheet. Spread the mix out evenly and bake at 350F for 20 minutes, stirring halfway through. Once done, let cool. Transfer the mixture back into the bowl and stir in the protein powder. Divide evenly between 4 sandwich bags. To eat - pour the baggie into a bowl and top with milk of your choice or eat the granola with some plain Greek Icelandic yogurt.
OVERNIGHT OATS VERSION: Omit the coconut oil and do not bake the mixture. Combine all other ingredients in a bowl then divide amongst 4 jars or containers. The night before, top one jar with milk of your choice and stir or shake. Keep in the fridge overnight for another quick and easy breakfast!! 😋

Do you have tired, sore or achy muscles? You’ve probably heard to that taking an Epsom salt bath can help! But, why? 🤔
Epsom salts dissolve in water. It is believed that when the salts dissolve, the magnesium sulfates that are in the salt are more easily and readily absorbed into the skin. Once they are absorbed, they work to relax muscles, reduce swelling and relieve aches 😌
You can increase the benefits of Epsom salt baths by adding essential oils to the bath as well. At you can purchase our four essential oil blends - Inspiration, Concentration, Relaxation and Rejuvenation - mixed with Epsom salts and ready to be added to your bath! ☺️

ACNE 😐💥 Acne is something we’ve all dealt with or deal with on an ongoing basis. There’s many causes for acne and of course many different types and courses of treatment. Completely curing acne is not a simple process. Unfortunately many topical treatments for acne are loaded with chemicals, drying agents, antibiotics and can be quite irritating to the skin💉 When it comes to treating acne, I prefer to use natural products. Some of my favourite things to use are:
🔸Charcoal - pulls sebum out of clogged pores, prevents pimples, blackheads, and whiteheads, and clears up and heals acne
🔸Aloe - soothes and calms irritated skin
🔸Tea Tree oil - anti-bacterial and anti-fungal, helps clear up acne, good spot treatment
🔸Neem oil, soap or cream - anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory, helps rejuvenate skin
🔸Rose Hip Seed oil or cream - can be helpful in healing scars, normalize uneven skin pigmentation, very hydrating, helps maintain smoothness of skin and elasticity
A good skin care routine using quality products can be super helpful at combating acne. Some items that should be considered include: facial cleaning wipes, an exfoliating scrub, a face wash, spot treatment if needed, a toner to balance the skins ph levels and a moisturizer ☺️ What are some of your favourite skincare products?

Heat vs cold therapy 🔥🥶 both are amazing for recovery and injuries, but when do you use one versus the other 🤷‍♀️
Cold therapy such as ice packs and cold packs are best to use after an initial injury. The cold can help reduce swelling and numb the area to reduce pain. Heat is best to use on sore, stiff muscles as it promotes blood flow and can help loosen the muscles. Heat can also be applied to muscles before a workout and ice afterwards 💪
This therapy wrap is awesome because it can do both heat and cold therapy. Pop it in the freezer to use it cold or in the microwave to use it hot. This wrap has been shown to hold heat up to one hour. It comes with a belt so you can wrap it around your waist for low back pain (as pictured) and still move around and continue daily activities. It’s also infused with stress busting essential oils such as lavender, peppermint, eucalyptus, rosemary and cloves. The wrap is available at ☺️

Essential oils can be used in aromatherapy for a variety of different reasons. Many oils can induce relaxation, increase concentration, improve your mood, make you feel rejuvenated, calm you down, reduce stress and increase mental clarity. Some oils can also help fight off tension headaches, ease aches and pains and balance the nervous system 🌿
At we have four pre-mixed blends of essential oils with different focuses: Concentration, Relaxation, Rejuvenation and Inspiration. These blends can be diffused in your home, office or car. What are some of your favourite essential oils to diffuse? ☺️

There’s been a big rise in the use and popularity of natural deodorants. Natural deodorants do not have any or contain significantly less chemicals, colourings and things like aluminum than their non-natural counterparts. There’s been some discussion about whether or not regular deodorants cause breast cancer or the development of tumors in the breasts 😞
Natural deodorants like this one from are fantastic swaps to make with your everyday deodorant to help reduce the number of toxins and chemicals that you put on your body everyday. When trying a new natural deodorant, make sure you give your body about a week to adjust to the change of products and apply at night for best absorption 👍 We currently carry 5 different scents of Lovefresh at including the one pictured here, my favourite - Lavender Tea Tree

Posted • Foam Rolling is a great way to relieve muscle aches. Foam rolling can be done as part of your warm-up to create blood flow to the muscles and prep them for your workout. Post-workout, foam rolling can help the body get lactic acid out of the muscles, decrease soreness, alleviate tension, and even provide a little massage. When foam rolling, always use a light pressure and if it is very painful, stop. Be careful not to roll over your lower ribs or any joints, like your knees. If you are working along the inner thighs, hips, groin, or near the armpits, make sure to use very light pressure to avoid injury to major arteries, blood vessels, and lymph nodes in those areas. If you have any questions about foam rolling, our team of licensed practitioners is here to help!
