I’m a mom — just like so many of you — trying to juggle life, work, and doing what’s best for my kids. I also happen to be a Behaviour Analyst and the founder of Mount Etna Child & Family Services, where I get to support incredible children and families every day.
These past few years have been full — with a 24-month-old at home, another little one on the way, and our sweet dog never far behind. 🍼🐾 You might not see me in the clinic as often right now, but that’s because I’ve been working on something deeply personal — something that grew from both my professional world and my life as a mom.
It’s called Embers for Access Foundation.
We’re a local Oshawa family of three (soon to be four) who’ve volunteered our time and resources outside of our 9-to-5s to get this off the ground — because we know firsthand how stressful it is to be a parent in today’s economy. Between work, caregiving, and endless waitlists, families are stretched thin while their children wait for support that shouldn’t have to wait.
Through Embers for Access, we’re building a bridge — helping families access early intervention, therapy, and caregiver education while navigating the long Ontario Autism Program waitlists. We may not have all the answers, but we’re deeply immersed in the neurodivergent community and understand how urgent the need truly is.
This foundation is built on hope, empathy, and community — because when people come together, small sparks can turn into something powerful. 🔥
Our Board of Directors includes up to seven passionate members from across our community — leaders in automotive, real estate, fundraising, business operations consulting, clinical care, and parent advocacy. Together, we’re uniting professional expertise with lived experience to make early intervention and family support more accessible across Ontario.
💛 We’d love for you to join us — come out to an event, share our story, or simply reach out. Every ember of support helps us keep the fire of inclusion and hope burning bright.
