Life will test you.

It will close doors you thought were meant for you. It will delay timelines you were sure of. It will make you question if you're on the right path.

But here's what I've learned as a late bloomer:
If you act with integrity and hold good intentions, paths begin to open up.

Not on your timeline. On life's timeline.

I've been there - frustrated, beating myself up, wondering why nothing was moving fast enough.
And I've learned that's the wrong use of energy.
Frustration doesn't speed things up. Self-criticism doesn't make you bloom faster.

What does work:
💫 Coming back to your body.
💫 Creating the internal safety you need to trust yourself.
💫 Surrendering to the ebb and flow instead of forcing the current.

Because late bloomers aren't late.

We're just learning to trust a different timeline - one that honors depth over speed, integration over bypassing, becoming over performing.

It all works out in due time.

Not because life is fair or easy.
But because when you stay rooted in integrity, patient with your process, and connected to your body - you become unshakeable.

I don't always have an hour to meditate or do Breathwork.

Some weeks, I'm lucky if I get 5 minutes.

This week has been intense.

Work. Commitments. Managing upcoming breathwork sessions. Life.

I could easily just push through. Disconnect from my body and operate on autopilot.

But here's what I know now:
The work isn't just what happens in the breathwork session.

The work is the micro moments throughout your day where you choose to come back to yourself.

30 seconds of conscious breathing before a meeting.
A hand on your heart asking: "What do I actually need right now?"

These aren't "nice to haves." These are survival tools.
Because the moment you disconnect from your body, you start running on empty.

You make decisions from depletion instead of clarity.
You react from old patterns instead of present awareness.

I learned this the hard way.
I used to think "pushing through" was strength. It wasn't. It was survival mode.

Now? I check in.

Even on the busiest days - especially on the busiest days - I find those micro moments.

Not because I'm some zen master.

Because I know what happens when I don't.
The body keeps the score.

If you're not checking in with it regularly, it will force you to pay attention - through exhaustion, anxiety, or burnout.

So I choose the micro moments.
One breath at a time.

That's the work.

I used to think my marriage ended because we weren't compatible.

Now I realize: we were two people who didn't know how to hold ourselves, trying to hold each other.
It doesn't work.

The truth nobody talks about:
One person in the relationship needs to hold space for the other. Someone has to go first. Someone has to create the safety for vulnerability to exist.

We're told that's "women's work." That women are naturally better at emotional labor.

But here's what I learned: I couldn't hold space for him because I couldn't hold space for myself.

I didn't know how to sit with my own fear, my own anger, my own grief. So how could I possibly hold his?

We ended up in this toxic cycle:
I couldn't express what I felt
He couldn't read my mind
We both pretended everything was fine
We resented each other in silence
We settled for a mediocre relationship that was eating us both inside

If I'd had the tools I have now?
Maybe we would've still ended. Maybe we weren't meant to last.

But I would've known SOONER. I would've been able to discern: is this relationship not working, or am I just afraid?

I wouldn't have stayed stuck in fear for years.
I wouldn't have waited for him to fix what I couldn't even name.

This work - breathwork, somatic healing, learning to hold yourself - it's not just for you.

It's for every relationship you'll ever be in.
Because when you learn to hold yourself, you can finally show up for others.

When you can sit with your own emotions, you can create space for theirs.

When you stop pretending everything is fine, you can build something REAL.

I've watched men cry in my breathwork sessions. Not because I made them. Because they finally felt safe enough to.
