✨ When I first started lashing, I had no idea how lonely it could feel. Being a solo artist means you’re not just the lash tech… you’re also the receptionist, the bookkeeper, the marketing team, the content creator… literally ALL of it.

Some days it felt overwhelming, and honestly, I wasn’t sure I could keep up.

That’s why this moment, being named a finalist for the Lashie Awards for the third year in a row… feels so surreal 🥹 Especially so this year… cause it has been a yearrrrrrr 🎢

I’ve only gotten here because of all the incredible people in our industry who share their knowledge so openly ❤️

The podcasts I’ve listened to while spending hours lashing alone in my basement ( ) the coaches and educators who gave away so many gems in their lives free webinars (I’m looking at you ) AND the coaches or their programs I invested in… who completely who pulled back the curtain ( )

I borrowed those ideas, adapted them to my little studio, and slowly built a business that finally feels like me.

To every solo lash artist out there: if you’ve ever felt like you’re drowning in it all, I see you. I’ve been there too. But I promise — with the right tools, systems, and a willingness to learn from others, there’s light at the end of the tunnel. You don’t have to do it all perfectly, you just have to keep going. 💖

1️⃣ Know Your Expenses: First, girl, you gotta understand your costs. Add up all your monthly expenses (don't forget to divide your yearly expenses by 12 and add that to your monthly total). This includes everything from your lash supplies to that Spotify playlist keeping you grooving during appointments.

2️⃣ Your Dream Income: Next, dream a little! 💭 How much do you want to pocket each month? This is your time to shine and aim for what you deserve.

3️⃣ Add It Up: Combine your expenses and your dream income. This total is what you need to make each month to live your best lash artist life.

4️⃣ Hours You Work: How many hours can you realistically lash out each week? Multiply this by 4 for an average month’s worth of work.

5️⃣ Do the Math: Take your total from step 3 and divide it by the number of hours or clients you can take in a month. Voilà! You now have an estimated hourly rate or price per client. 💸
