The lunar eclipse last night was amazing, especially after the storms earlier in the evening. Even this little tree frog came out to kiss the moon for good luck just before the eclipse started. Meanwhile my 75lbs pooch quivered in fear all evening at the thunder and lightning and finally rested his head on my foot for comfort!

Mark your calendars for this Friday, December 3 when Feeding Hope Together, a community fundraiser on-line auction goes live. There are over 60 lots to bid on from gift cards to gift baskets of all kinds, gluten-free goodies, movie passes and St. Paul's famous tourtières. This is your only chance to get a tourtière this year! All proceeds will go to the Lanark County Food Bank-The Hunger Stop, Lanark County Interval House and the Community Ministries of Ottawa (The Well, Centre 454, St. Luke's Table, Ottawa Pastoral Counselling Centre and Cornerstone Housing for Women). You can also donate directly through the auction link if you would like to support these frontline organizations that have done so much for our most vulnerable neighbours. Thank you for anything you can do and please share this with your friends and family. Together we can make a difference!

Congratulations Matt on a wonderful soft opening of 3ApplesBakery, a gluten-free sourdough based bakery here in Pakenham! The cranberry and pumpkin seed bread was lovely and the chocolate filled croissant disappeared pretty fast. Yum! Such a great addition to our community and well worth remembering that it pays to check out these local gems.

Such a beautiful day today with the lilacs in full bloom and the peonies almost ready to open. So grateful to Michelle at Soft Soles Advanced Diabetic Foot Care and her nurses for another successful foot care clinic at Stonebridge Haven. Not a bad view for people as they wait in their cars to be called in. Safety and your health are our priorities during this extraordinary time of Covid.
