Waypoint staff are internationally recognized for their leadership and research, which they approach with professionalism and humility. This dedication deepens understanding of mental health and addiction, and helps to build a better future for patients, their families and care partners, staff, the community and the health care system.

When someone opens up about their mental health, supportive listening matters.

It looks like slowing down.
Putting distractions aside.
Being fully present.

It means creating a space where they feel safe to share — without judgment, without rushing, and without trying to “fix” it.

Sometimes the most powerful thing you can say is, “I’m here.”

Listening to understand — not to solve — helps people feel seen, supported, and a little less alone. Our PCFC Connect team does just this. They help clients and their families feel seen and heard throughout their journeys.
