The Lovers, Valentine’s Day Edition 💘

The Lovers isn’t about finding your missing half.

It’s about choosing...fully, consciously, without abandoning yourself.

This card asks: Am I splitting myself apart to be loved?

Because real intimacy isn’t fusion. It’s alignment.

It’s standing in the whole, naked truth of who you are while letting someone else stand in theirs.

Best advice: Choose yourself, so that when you choose another, it’s devotion… not depletion. ✨

🪷 Saturday highlights 🪷

Pic #1: Took myself for chilly outside journal time at Okanagan lake, pulled "Knight of Cups"-the card of romance, dating, and wooing 😍

Pic #2: The message carved in the tree right beside where I was journaling. Like a balm for my increasing anxiety about the escalating f**kery South of us and worldwide

Pic #3: A juvenile bald eagle soared in with a fresh fish in its talons. For many Indigenous peoples including the Syilx (Okanagan) Nation, eagles are sacred messengers to the Creator, symbolizing strength, vision, honor, and a direct connection between the spiritual and earthly realms. And it reminded me of one of besties Deanna Sobieroy

Today's Pull: Three of Pentacles 🪙🪙🪙

Isn't it true that with the right people, we are emboldened?

I'm reminded to side-step the entrenched idea that everything must be done on my own steam.

Attending to "my corner" of "the work" while knowing that I have others in the same boat to rely on has been invaluable. 🤝

A simple reminder. Life has a way of looping me back to old lessons. Does this also happen to you?

Personally, this has been a small group of us at my counselling internship that are going through our learnings separately (it's an online program) but truly there for each other.

That has looked like:
-Sharing resources
-Checking in on each other
-Exploring fears
-Expressing frustrations
-Celebrating wins

Teams can look like many things but today's pull is a reminder that we can go a lot farther together. ❤️

My pull for 2026 is Hierophant. 🪽 My word: Consecrate.

To consecrate something is to make it sacred through intention, presence, and devotion.

This year isn’t about hustling harder or adding more, it’s about tending.

What I give my time, energy, voice, and love to will be chosen deliberately.

My work becomes a ritual. My boundaries will become my prayers. My creativity will become an offering rather than a performance.

"Consecrate" reminds me that meaning doesn’t come from scale or approval, but from reverence.

Bottom line: I want to bless what already exists, and commit to show up for it fully, honestly, and with care.🕯️
