Both are completing their practicum in the Master of Counselling Psychology program under the clinical supervision of our Clinical Director, Stefanie Iverson, RCC.

We’re excited to offer low-cost counselling sessions with Britney and Melissa as part of their internship:
• Individual sessions starting at $55
• Couples sessions starting at $75

These reduced rates are available while they complete their training hours toward becoming Registered Clinical Counsellors.

Did you know that therapy can look like THIS? 🖌️💛
Sometimes healing isn’t about words—it’s about creating, exploring, and letting your imagination lead the way.

Here are a few of the creative techniques we use:

Sandtray Therapy – Using sand, paint, and miniatures to create scenes and patterns. This helps bring emotions to the surface in a safe and symbolic way.

Creative Painting – Letting colors and brushstrokes express what’s hard to put into words. The focus isn’t on the final picture, but the process of expression.

Craft-Based Therapy – Hands-on activities like collage, sculpting, or simple crafts that help with grounding, focus, and self-discovery.

The best part? You don’t need to be “artistic” to take part. Every creation is welcome. Every story is valid. Therapy here is about connection, creativity, and finding new ways to heal. 🌿

Your nervous system is the lens through which you experience life.

When it’s overwhelmed and in survival mode, even the smallest bumps in the road can feel like mountains. Safety feels far away, relationships feel strained, and hope can feel out of reach.

But when your nervous system is supported — through breath, movement, rest, and compassion — something powerful happens:

✨ Everyday challenges feel lighter.
✨ Your perspective shifts.
✨ Connection and peace become possible.

Healing isn’t about changing who you are — it’s about creating the conditions for your nervous system to feel safe again. From that place, growth, resilience, and deeper relationships can naturally unfold.

Challenges show up in all shapes and sizes.
Sometimes they’re small annoyances. Other times, they feel like mountains in the middle of our path.

What truly matters isn’t the obstacle itself — it’s how we meet it.

When we rush to react, our emotions drive the bus — frustration, fear, or anger often take us further from where we want to go.

When we choose to respond, we slow down, breathe, and create space to see clearly. This shift can completely change the outcome.

✨ Try this simple practice when challenges show up:
1. Pause – Take a breath.
2. Notice – What’s really happening here?
3. Choose – Respond in a way that supports your bigger picture, not just the heat of the moment.

With time, responding becomes second nature — bringing more peace, clarity, and strength into your daily life.

Slow down. Breathe.

Life will always hand us challenges — some as small as a sticky piece of tape, others as overwhelming as a major setback.

The difference isn’t whether obstacles show up (they always do) — it’s how we meet them.

👉Reacting is quick, emotional, and often messy. Frustration, fear, or anger take the driver’s seat, and the situation usually feels harder.

👉 Responding is calm, intentional, and grounded. It comes from slowing down enough to choose wisely:

🔹 Pause — Take a breath. Give yourself a moment.
🔹 Observe — What’s really happening right now? Not just what your emotions are telling you.
🔹 Choose — Pick the response that aligns with your values and long-term goals, instead of your short-term feelings.

Every time you practice responding instead of reacting, you’re rewiring your nervous system.
