I used to exercise for hours (I used to have the time and energy). But now as a busy working mom there is very little time or energy! The workouts I personally do now are short (10-30min) but incredibly effective. I was in better shape 4months post-partum doing 20min AO1 workouts, than I was in my 20s running training for hours for half-marathons. I'm now pushing 40 and feel stronger and more capable than I ever have.

You don't need a lot of time or equipment to get a workout in that will transform your body, strength and mindset. I experience this first-hand and see it time again with my clients.

🍂 Ready to dive into a new season with some SMART health and fitness goals! 🍂💪 Let's do this! 💃

Specific: Think laser focus! Instead of saying "I want to get fit," go all in with something like "I'm gonna rock that 5k without stopping!" 🏃‍♀️💦

Measurable: Numbers are your friends here! Count pounds, reps, or kms so you can throw a big celebration when you hit those milestones. 🎉

Achievable: Let's dream big but keep it real, friends. Challenge yourself while considering your busy life and resources.

Relevant: Make it personal! Ask yourself, "Why does this goal light my fire?" 🔥"Why is this goal important to me?"

Time-bound: Give your goal a deadline. For instance, "I'm gonna lose 10 pounds in the next 3 months, and it's gonna be epic!"

Remember, it's not just about the destination, but the journey too! 💫 Your health and fitness journey is your own unique adventure, and these SMART goals will be your trusty map. 💯

Hi I'm Jasmine 🙋🏼‍♀️, coach and owner of Audience of One Fitness. Although I value and understand the importance of prioritizing our health, I understand how challenging this can be!
I am also a busy ⌚mom and help run kids programs in our community. I love cooking nutritious meals 🥗 but have ordered takeout this week, and I dream of a clean house 🧹 (key word is 'Dream' lol)!

Maintaining balance with your family, health, dreams, career and everything else is not easy... but it is possible, one step at a time.

📣Moms, we have to stop putting our self care at the bottom of our priority list. 📝
Our kids needs us to be strong, healthy, good examples, and living our best lives. Health and Fitness 💪 is crucial for this. If we don't invest in our health, eventually we will lose it.

Don’t get sidetracked by looking for results. If you base your success only on results and don’t see what you want to see yet, you’ll get disappointed and give up.

What excuse do you hear yourself say the most? “I’m too old”, “I’m too young”, “I’m too broken”, “I’m too weak”, “I’m not good enough”, “I’m a failure”?
They sound preposterous when written out all side by side, but they are so common to hear!
When we make these bold claims about age or strength or weight, we’re usually really talking about how we feel about our bodies. Which has no arrival point. How often have you heard or said “I just have 5-10 more pounds to lose” or “I just have 5-10lbs more muscle to gain”. This vague window seems to follow dieters and bodybuilders no matter what the scale says. This leads to a constant dissatisfaction with our bodies and the effect is - we make more excuses!

So what’s the solution? Celebrate what your body can do!

At AO1 our focus is what we are capable of. There is no arrival point here either as we are always striving for the next challenge, but the difference is that we appreciate what our bodies do for us rather than beat down on them being too much or not enough.

Happy New Years Eve! 🎉 As you are celebrating tonight, let's remember the HEALTHY PLATE. 🍽 It still applies during the holidays 😉

Start with filling half your plate with vegetables,🥦 then chose a palm size piece of quality protein,🍗 add a bit of starchy food 🥔 and some fruit.🍓

You are in control of the food you consume. It's a choice. It's ok to celebrate and have a treat but we need to be conscious of our decision.

Holiday Party Tip: Avoid grazing on food. It's amazing how much we can consume when we're not fully aware of what we're eating. Chose a plate and fill it and eat from it. Then you can be fully present for the conversations and interaction you have and know that you made a good nutritious choice.💚
