How's your dreams lately? This past week has been very busy in my night world.

Last night I dreamed of a plane full of people, young and old, rushing to pack for a journey to somewhere wonderful. I didn’t hold the ticket, didn’t know the exact time or destination but I helped everyone pack lighter, move faster, get ready. It was time to get to a new destination.

The dream was reflecting our world right now. Totally messy and not everyone ready to get to a place of love, respect, connection. Let's get our suitcases (hearts) in order and our tickets (mind/thoughts) ready. My heart wants everyone on board. My mind says it's time. 💛

Sometimes old feelings rise: fears of being abandoned, unheard, or not enough. These tender moments are invitations, not failures. They’re reminders that a part of us, the Little Me within, is still asking to be seen, held, and loved.

If you’ve felt some of this lately, I’m resharing my earlier post on connecting with your childhood self. It’s a gentle practice: close your eyes, picture your younger self before the hurt, before the worry. Imagine sitting beside them. Let them know they are safe, loved, and never alone.

Offer them the compassion you wish you’d had. You are the parent now — the steady heart that can comfort, protect, and reassure.

The healing begins when love flows inward.

What is SoulCollage®?

SoulCollage® is a creative, intuitive practice that helps people explore their inner selves through collage-making. It was developed by Seena Frost and is often used for personal growth, self-reflection, and healing.

In a SoulCollage® session, participants create small, 5x8-inch collages on individual cards using cut-out images from magazines, photos, or other sources. These cards are designed to represent different aspects of the self, such as:

Inner Parts: Various aspects of your personality or inner voices (e.g., your inner critic, your playful side, or your nurturing self).
Community: People or animals who have influenced or supported you throughout your life.
Archetypes: Universal symbols or themes like the Mother, the Healer, or the Seeker.
Soul Essence: A card that represents your deepest, truest self or spiritual energy.
Once the cards are created, participants reflect on them by journaling or using guided questions, which help uncover the deeper meaning behind the images they’ve chosen. The process is not about making "artistic" pieces but about tapping into the subconscious and letting the images speak to you.

Today I've been playing with some SoulCollage® activities in preparation for our Walking the Way of the Heart workshop coming up on October 19. I hope you will consider joining us.

SoulCollage® is a wonderful tool for exploring and integrating the various parts of ourselves, and it resonates well with concepts from Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapeutic model. By creating collages that represent different aspects of ourselves, SoulCollage® allows us to visualize and connect with our internal parts—whether they are the angry teenager, the lonely one, the raging part, the sad person, or the hopeful self longing for growth.

Here's how SoulCollage® can help with this process:

Visual Representation: Through the act of creating collages, you can give a tangible form to abstract feelings and inner parts. This can make it easier to understand and address different facets of yourself, such as the angry teenager or the hopeful self.

Dialogue with Parts: Just as in IFS, SoulCollage® encourages dialogue with these parts. Each card or collage represents a different aspect of yourself, and you can interact with these images to gain insights into their needs, desires, and challenges.

Integration and Compassion: SoulCollage® fosters a compassionate relationship with your inner parts. By acknowledging and accepting the full spectrum of your experiences—whether they are anger, sadness, or hope—you develop a deeper sense of self-love and integration.
