Good day beautifull people!!
As we are moving through the depth of winter for us here in the Nothern Hemisphere, it seem like the general vibe is to be cozy at home in soft clothes, wrap in a warm blanket, with a hot chocolate reading a book. A time of the year when our energies are withdrawned, subtle and low. We may feel less incline for physical activities, social c***ections and adventure out into the world.
In many traditions and cultures who experience winter, this season is important for our well-being and necessary for our learning and growing, because the energies are concentrated in the lower worlds, into earth where our roots. It is a time to rest and nourish the foundation of are being, tend to the pillars that hols us strong, reflecting on our journeys and the path we have walked. Sometimes, this a harder process that we would of wished or expected, because going inward into the hidden realms force us to feel and see things that are hidden in the dark corners of ourselves, things that dwells in the subconscious realities. Still, despite the challenges and difficulties that it represent, it is crucial for our growth. By healing, understanding and transforming what affects our roots, we contribute to a better functioning of all other parts of the vital tree.
One of the best way we can tend to our roots is by nourishing and healing our gut or digestive system. The gut is also referred to as the third ‘’brain’’ because of the large concentration of nervous system terminations. Thus what we allow to enter in our self and be absorbed through the gut wall has tremendous impact on our physiological, psychological and emotional well-being. Many Ayurvedic practionners suggest that you are what you digest. I think that we all know the crucial importance of a well-balanced diet for our health.
In that sense, food is not simply physical nourishment, it is medicine and it has the power to uplift the soul and spirit to greater height.
SO, I was thinking that I would share a very simple remedy\recipe that symbolize and embody everything that is related to nourishment!
GHEE!!
As is this called in the Indian tradition or also referred to as clarified butter. Some of you may already know what Ghee is, some of you are using it regularly aaaaand some of you might have no idea of what it is. So I’m going to break it down for you here then share some instruction on how to make some at home.
Ghee is the result of heating unsalted butter until it separate itself into 3 parts: The fat solids like lactose, protein like casein and other saturated fats and finally the golden refined oil that is clarified butter.
Just like some other oils, when heated it liquefies and when cold it solidifies.
It has somehow a nutty, richer flavor then unclarified butter, but still sweet. In a way in taste very similar to buttery popcorn.
In Ayurveda, Ghee is considered one of the most refined oil and its benefits from consumption are the greatest. It is a rich oil that is ideal to cook with because it doesn’t burn unless heated excessively, but it is also very easy to digest and absorb, making ghee a very nourishing and healing ingredient. It has the ability to stimulate the digestive system and calm it at the same time by reducing excessive inflammation and or irritation. Adding to that, it is suitable for all constitution in moderate dosage and can be used in almost every diet type, even with people who are lactose intolerant. Remember that the lactose components of butter are separated from the oil by heating and straining it.
In cooking, its versatility is one its greatest attribute, Ghee can be added to almost anything if you are creative and know how to use it correctly, plus it doesn’t burn like butter.
Finally, you can also you it like any other topical oil!! Because Ghee is so nourishing for our tissue membranes, it helps to rejuvenate and hydrate skin like no other and is a great ingredient to put in salves and other creams.
ALL RIGHTY THEN!
With that being said, lets jump to the actually recipe and how to make it in the comfort of your place. (trust me it is not worth buying it, if you choose quality butter and make it your way, in the long run its going to be cheaper and its benefits enhanced)
What you’ll need:
- 1 pound of unsalted Butter
- A small to medium sauce pan, or a small pot
- a good old Mason jar
- strainer or Cheesecloth
The instructions ( from the Book The Ayurvedic Cookbook by Morningstar)
~ Slice the butter in small cubes, 2 inch by 2 inch, it will help melting faster. In a small saucepan, heat the butter over medium heat. Continue to cook at medium low heat. The butter will bubble and making bubbling sounds. When it is done, in about 15 to 20 minutes, it will become clear and very quiet, no bubbling. At that point quickly take it off the heat before it burns, which can happen rapidly ( if it happens it will begin to foam again and rapidly turn into a brown color instead of the desired bright golden) Cool slightly, Ghee is the clear golden liquid. Pour the Ghee through a metal strainer or cheesecloth into a glass jar. You can store it at room temperature. If done correctly, it won’t mold.
ET voila!!
If you have some idea and recipes that you want to share with ghee please to it in the comment section!!

HELLO HELLO GUYS ! {~¤~}
happy new years!! ✨
yes yes i know im late, the month of January is almost done and most of us are moving on with our daily life, but I still wanted to write something on the page about the last year or the last cycle.
The last month has been very special for me, as I had the privilege to spend it with my family back in Québec. It was a very busy month with family activities, friends and mini project and decided to invest my time to really be present there, fully, as I can only be there once a year. In that sense I apologize if I did not take the time to write or publish anything in a while, for I had other priorities at that moment. But now that I am back in my little nest, I’d like to start writing again and publish articles, discussions and recipe again to keep this page alive 
So I thought a lot about want I wanted to talk about in this article and it seems like one of the big theme in our mind and heart these days is Time.
This is a reaaaaally broad topic of discussion, so I could go very deep into the many fabulations of what it is, but mostly I’d like to focus more on how it affects us.
Recently we have been through some important shift with many major Astrological transits involving Planets like Jupiter and Saturn. These planets can have tremendous impact in our lifes as they are major aspect of our Natal astrological chart, beside the Sun they are the biggest orbits and their rays and gravitational forces affects us in many ways. Jupiter is said to be the Greater Benific and Saturn is considered the Greater Malefic. During the last months Jupiter and Saturn have been dancing around their natal signs, shifting in Capricorn and Sagittarius, stirring things up to return to their previous placements later during this year. Sagittarius is the Home of Jupiter and Capricorn is the Home of Saturn. That means that the effects of these planets is increased as the energy flow in conjunction toward the same direction. To my understanding, it seems like the major themes and idea about those transits are cycles, ending and beginning, moving and changing. What is also interesting is that these big planetary movements are happening right at the end of this decade and the beginning of a new one. Again, cycles. Contrary to many popular beliefs, time is not linear, time is spiralic, circling around its axis, past, future and present move together. Grandfather Saturn, Chronos, is all about cycles, spiral, time and karmic lessons. The secrets of This Being are held in its never ending rings that orbits around it. Jupiter is concerned about grandiosity, dreams, ambitions and big project, the big planet is all about expansion. It is also related to spirituality and beliefs.
So to summarize all of that, we can say that these transits are all about lessons, teachings and cycles that are going to serves us to grow and learn what we need to continue our journey on this path. And for those of you that have been dedicated to your path, to your growth and learning, you know very well that this is not all about rainbows and butterflies as some may think and idealize. No, this is about challenges, it’s about breaking unhealthy patterns, to overcome struggle and becoming stronger and empowered in who we are. Accepting what lessons we need to learn in order to grow. It’s alongside these difficulties that also comes the moments of profound beauty and awe, moments of love, of achievements, of joy and c***ection. The kind of moments that makes all of the efforts and dedication worth it, I’m talking about real fulfilling happenings that brings true happiness. This is all happening for the same reason, helping us along the path.
2019 was a big year for me as many things happened, but, reflecting on the last cycle now I feel like one of the big lesson that I had to learn was trust and faith. I learned that to live my dreams and archieve what I wanted, I needed to have faith in my power to make them happen, believing it was possible. In that process I also learned to trust that life is actually working for me and not against me, because what comes on the path is there to help me understand and teach me what I need to continue. Sometimes these are really tough lessons that are hard to accept and act upon them, they hurts and we have to deal with that discomfort and that pain. That was the big theme of the last cycle for me, of the influences of Jupiter and Saturn. Growth and karmic lessons. Not always easy. But I feel I made it pretty good after all and still learning along the way hehe.
In that sense my intentions for the next cycle, for 2020 and even for the next decade to come, are again to have trust and faith in my dreams, but also in the collective dreams of this world. Work together to make the happen. As we are living in very crucial and shifting times I feel like it’s about time that we start believing that it is possible to change. Finally I want to be in service to the needs of our world, using my gifts and purpose to give back to the community.

I want to reach out to you community and get into the conversation, discuss about it, I’d like to ask you what were the lessons you learned in the last cycle of 2019 and what you wish to learn for 2020 and for the next decades? What does times has to tell you these days? What are you dreams that you wish to see realized?
Thank you, Peace & Love

Good evening dear friends!!
Tonight id like to share again another receipe to warm up your heart as the cold times are approaching... Oh yeah it is coming, the hermitage, the increasing darkness outside, the fires in the chimney, the movies nights, the reading nights, season of the warm teas and soups, wool socks and awsome sweaters. Winter is almost officialy here. I feel ready for an other season.
It is with thoses ideas in my head that i decided to share with you guys a Kitchari receipe for the cozy time in coming. A light, nourishing, warming and easy to digest stew, traditional in Indian cuisine... A good old classic
A Kitchari is a combination of white basmati rice and yellow split mung beans over cooked to the consistancy of a plaisant muuushh with spices and ghee and accompagnied with some veggies. It is use in many ayurvedic cleanses (panchakarma) because of its light and easy to digest qualities. Also, Kitcharies are tridoshic, meaning that they are suitable and can be enjoy by all the doshas (depending on the variation, because their is hundreds of different kind of receipes). But truly, Kitcharis are the ultimate comfort food : sligthly sweet, buttery, savory, salty and muushyyyyy.
I have been eating kitchari for breakfast and sometime dinner, almost everyday of the last month and it makes me feel amazing and satisfy.
The receipe is a picture from an old ayurvedic cookbook that i found so sorry if its a little bit hard to read.
I higly suggest to ad some fennel and little bit more cuming to it if you like those flavour.
So far from all the combination i used for veggies the best are : sweet potatoes and Butternotch squash or sweet potatoes and carrots
ENJOOOOYYYY 🍵❄😌
P.S give me some news about you own variation of the receipe i would like to try it :)

*.:. The Craft of Distillation .:. *

Latin word ~ Destillare - to trickle down drop by drop.

Distilling is a process of purifying a liquid by volatilizing or evaporating and then condensing back into her liquid form. Essentially, it separates pure components from each other, concentrating some very potent material. Its been infamously known for the makings of Moonshine and other strong liquers.
Steam Distillation differs in a way that it involves another piece in the system referred to as the Still Column or Split Top, which acts as the Plant Chamber (where Plant Material lives in the vessel). Steam Distillation is used for the extraction of the essential oils and hydrosols.
This craft has been around since the Ancient Egyptian times, ( simultaneously around the same time India and China were exploring the aromatic benefits of plants *realizations or awakenings to concepts are rippled through human consciousness* ) where plants were cultivated and used for its medicinal purposes in "perfumes" and resins.

The Craft of Distilling a Plants Essences is a very remarkable experience in the eyes of an inquiring alchemical mind. The science behind the elements at play are all sorts of Magick. It requires patience ( a lot of it), as it is a very engaging process that requires your presence and focused energy. It yields very little final product, but leaves the practitioner with a reverent knowing in the quality and pureness of each drop.

* ~ Preparations and harvesting of materials for Distilling Process : When possible use rainwater, spring or distilled water but filtered water works aswell. Plant materials should be ethically harvested, look what grows around you abundantly and is in season. Developing a relationship and a fair respectful exchange with who you harvest is personally, THE MOST important part of any plant medicine craft (in whatever way that means to you: it is your relationship with the plants and the craft. your prayer and intention behind it that makes this medicine work much more meaningful and powerful for your own and others healing journey.) Learn about what the Plant has been traditional used for and its constituents. The Traditional Alembic Copper Still I am using was handmade in Portugal and was gifted to me. ( and as a part of a Collective, this Alembic is available for those who feel called to venture into this alchemical process.. PM me) Copper is correspondent to Venus, so this plays an interaction with the process.
You need a steady heat source, a cold water source, a catching vessel and a journal. (and an open agenda).

With all the materials in place you start with the water in the retort (the bottom of the vessel). You put the plant Material in the Split Column Top and attach the rest of the parts together. ~ Can answer more detailed questions about this process in Messenger ) ~

As the Water heats up in the vessel, it evaporates and creates Steam. Steam then travels upward into the Plant Chamber, meeting the Plant, she loosens and agitates the material of the Plant. As the Plant experiences this elemental interaction, essentially he offers up his volatile oils, which travels further with Steam upwards rising to the top (the onion bulb) of the vessel. From here on Steam with the volatile oils goes through a process of cooling down through the swan neck pipe and down into the condenser, (where cold water is), the final process of the water with the oil to become its original form.
The final product is hydrosol with the essential oil sitting on top.

The more we explore deeper into the formation of the different agents in our world. The more we see the universal laws that abide in everything. The cycle of life and death.
As the transmutation and purification process unfold within the alembic vessel, invite it to reflect what is also moving through you.

Humble blessings on this Earth Walk.
Grateful to share and play on this journey with *you*

As above, so below

✨🌿~~ TEA RITUAL~~🌿✨

Bonjour les copains! In this cozy sunday i feel inspired to share some thoughts and idea about the importance and beauty of making tea for ourself. Im also sharing a Relaxing, grounding and calming tea bring youself to center when you may feel a little wired and mentaly overactive.

In this crazy time we are living in, many of us feel the intensity of the world around us, often putting our nerves and patience to the test. We all have busy life and it seems like sometimes we are simply running without having the opportunity to take a moment to relax and recharge. Even when we come back home, we carry the energies of the day into our sanctuary and have difficulty to "turn it off" so we can have the rest that is so needed. One of the ways i have found that is the most healing and nourishing for me to relax is to have a little Tea Ritual. It may seem very simple, but it is those small routines of self care that are, in the long run, the most beneficial for us. Taking 30 minutes out of you schedule to make a lovely tea, is a beautiful way of giving your self some love and care, to have a break and bring you back to center. The secret of its healing power reside in your presence during the ritual, as if it was a meditation... Think about the herbs you want or need (sometimes you will intuitively go for the one that you need), boil the water, pour it, let them infuse for some minutes. During this moment dont go away doing other things that fills the time you have. Rather i invite you to stay beside the tea pot and infuse the tea with your good thoughts and feeling, whisper some lovely tunes that make you feel good and bring you peace. I know this can be a little challenging because it demands discipline but this is the real medecine : the intentions you give to it.
So when you are about to enjoy you first sip, be grateful to yourself for what you are doing, acknowledge you effort and the privilege that you have to do that. Then let the healing brew enter you mouth as if it was water from the fountain of Jouvence, just pure delight for the soul and the senses. Take some deep breath and be there with youself and with the tea and enjoy the moment!!
Many may think that this is sort of a wouhwouh hippy practice to do but really it is absolutly not complicated nor esoteric, its simply being present for a moment! ☕️☯️

INNER PEACE TEA BLEND
Bring the water to a boil then let it cool down for about 5 minute (For this tea it is best to avoid boilling the herbs because it could damage them, therefore diminishing then medicinal properties)
This receipe is for 500ml of tea, so 2 cups
In the tea pot:
~~ 4 tablespoon of Gotu Kola ( you can have more to, gotu kola is the most effective in large quantities)
~~ 3 tablespoon of Tulsi ( holy basil)
~~ 2 table spoon of hawthorn berry
~~ 2 table spoon of Hawthorn flowers and leaves
~~ 1 table spoon of Rosemary
~~ 1 tea spoon of powdered cinamon
~~ ½ a tea spoon of licorice powder (be careful, licorice has a very pungent sweet taste, its is to put a tiny bit too much and be overwhelm by the taste)
Most of the herbs use for this tea blend are Nervines, meaning that their primary action is to act upon the nervous system (not all nervines are calming and relaxing, some are stimulant nervines, like rosemary and the most popular one coffee) in this case, they are quite gentle in there calming effect, so you can have some during the day and not feel sleepy.
This tea is also bitter, but reassure yourself it is an enjoyable bitterness balance by the sweet taste of cinamon and licorice. The bitter as downward action on the energies of your body (you can event feel physically when you taste a super bitter herbs and a massive shiver run down you spine) this action is grounding and sinking, wich often disired when we feel overstimulated and nervous.
Finally with the sweetness of the last 2 herbs, we are bringing nourishment and tranquillity to this tea blend, a little of love to soften the harshness!
Enjoy this tea blend and give me some reviews on it!!
Until next time
Peace & love my friends
💛💜💚

Coming together

The idea of the Collective came to me, in the winter of 2019 when i was deepenning my studies in herbal medecine and exploring different healing practices. First it came as a thought, wanting to bridge the many practices together around central points that they have in commun but also to compliment one another, making it much easier for the person who receive the treatement to understand what is happenning. Then it became feeling. It felt like often people get confused when it comes to the various healing and health theories that are out there, in book and especially on internet. But how to decifer the terms of Traditional Chinese Medicine from Ayurveda, or Western Herbal medicine and Acupuncture and what about Greek medecine or even astrology? It felt to me that it would be much easier if practionners of those traditions could have a way to share informations about the client and not overhelm them with different kind of assesments for the same root cause. In answer to that, the Quintessence Medicine Collective was born, as a network of practionners, medecine makers, magic makers, artist and people from all horizons, all working together and c***ecting one another around the same intention: Healing In my heart in this clear that its time for us to work together and support each other if we want to see rising a new paradigm for the humanity, one base on community, growth, love, and purpose. The idea of seperation as not serve us very well in the last centuries so it is now time to let it go so that we can create this new reality that we are all dreaming of. The Quintessence medecine collective is only in the beginning of its growth journey, for now it is only a page, but it will expend by it self in answer to the intentions that are out there who knows what it will become, but this is the magic of planting a seeding half of the work is done by you then the rest is up to the universe!
