The uncomfortable truth about the supplement industry
Many products today use:
• The USA Grouped “complexes” ingredient list method to deliberately hide tiny dosages
• Cheap probiotic strains to inflate CFU numbers
• Tiny levels of Antioxidant ingredients to look good on a label, but cost little as their contribution is in such small amounts
• Vast synthetic vitamin and man-made mineral content to make the product label look impressive. A Company might claim they provide over 90 nutrients, but that is only meaningful if the ingredients are meaningful and work optimally
• Label formatting designed to impress – not inform
Even many health professionals cannot see past this level of deception from the label alone.
