Resistance training after 45 isn’t just about fitting into your favourite jeans.

It’s about being able to get up off the floor.

It’s about having the strength to carry groceries, climb stairs, keep your balance, and move with confidence, not just now, but well into your 70s and 80s.

For most women, this has nothing to do with intense workouts or spending hours at a gym.

What they really need is:
• guidance
• consistency
• reassurance
• and a way to move that feels safe and sustainable

Strength training doesn’t have to be intimidating.

It can be calm.
It can be supportive.
And it can be built around how your body feels today.

✨ This is for women who don’t enjoy gyms or intense workouts, but still want to stay strong, mobile, and independent as they age.

If you’ve been told you should be doing resistance training, but you’re not sure where to start — or you just want support instead of pressure — you’re not alone.

💬 Send me a message and let’s see if this kind of strength support feels right for you.

Resistance training is NOT

❌ lifting until exhaustion
❌ spending hours in the gym
❌ being sore all the time
❌ pushing through discomfort

During peri- and menopause, resistance training is about supporting your body, not punishing it.

When done in a way that fits your body and your life, it can help with:

maintaining muscle and bone strength
supporting joints and connective tissue
improving balance and stability
feeling steadier and more confident in everyday movement
supporting long-term independence

It can be:
✔ gentle
✔ short
✔ manageable
✔ done at your own pace
✔ adjusted to where you’re at

You don’t need to “go hard.”
You don’t need to know everything.
You just need a place to start and support while you do.

I support women who know resistance training is important, but feel unsure about where to begin or how to start in a way that feels doable and not overwhelming.

If this resonates, feel free to send me a message.

Resistance training often gets talked about as if it’s complicated but it doesn’t have to be.

At its core, resistance training is about helping your muscles work against some form of resistance so your body can adapt and get stronger over time.

That resistance might be:
• dumbbells
• resistance bands
• or even your own body weight

You don’t need extreme workouts or heavy weights for resistance training to be effective, especially during menopause.

What matters most is learning the movements and building consistency over time.

You keep hearing that you should be doing resistance training.

Doctors mention it.
Articles mention it.
Everyone seems to agree it’s important.

But very few people ever explain how to get started in a way that feels realistic.

This isn’t about “no pain, no gain.”
It’s not about pushing harder, lifting heavier, or doing more.

For most women in midlife, getting started is really about:
• knowing where to begin
• feeling steady and supported
• having someone to guide the first steps

That support is often what turns “I know I should” into “I can do this.”

If you’ve been thinking about starting resistance training but feel unsure doing it alone, you don’t have to figure it out by yourself.

Sometimes all it takes is having someone beside you while you get started.

If you’d like to ask a couple of questions or talk through whether working together might be a good fit, you’re welcome to message me.

No pressure, just support.

Resistance training doesn’t have to mean heavy weights or complicated workouts.

It can be as simple as: learning how to hold dumbbells, understanding what an exercise should feel like and moving with control instead of rushing.

Confidence comes from repetition, not perfection. That’s how strength is built.
