Rise + Reconnect Retreat 2.0 - this June! 🌿

I’m inviting up to 6 people to step away from the noise and come home to themselves at the Rise + Reconnect. A wellness weekend at Sask Beach, just 40 minutes from Regina.

June 12–14, we gather lakeside for breathwork journeys, therapeutic art, nourishing meals, gentle movement, nature walks and deep connection.

Corinne had hit a low spot in her life and started trying modalities. Everything from yoga, body talk, therapy, seminars, reading self help books etc.

I’m sooo beyond grateful I was the one to introduce her to 9d breathwork. 🫶🏻

The second 9d breathwork journey I experienced..

I’m so glad I lead with a curious mind that was thinking “what the heck is this whole breathwork thing all about?”

“It’s free to breathe and I don’t even feel like I’m really grieving anything in particular, but I’ll go anyways to check out what it’s about..”

Little did I know I was going to grieve the loss of my old self. My old identity. The familiar cushy lifestyle that felt stable. If you’ve ever been through an ego death, or identity shift and have Q’s on how to navigate it - don’t hesitate to reach out!

The real work isn’t the highlight reel. It’s what happens in the quiet.

It’s learning to regulate, instead of react.

It’s knowing your values so deeply that nothing can shake you from them.

Victimhood is comfortable. Healing is your choice.

It’s sitting in stillness long enough to hear yourself.

Choosing acceptance when the story you’ve been telling yourself is the very thing keeping you stuck.

Choosing forgiveness when you want to stay resentful. Coming from a chronic people pleaser who held in decades of resentment, I know this! 🙋🏼‍♀️

It’s choosing gratitude, when anger feels easier.

No one is coming to save you. I could write a book on how I discovered the truth of this. We live in a world conditioning you to believe everything is outside of you. It took me 34 years to realize it’s about saving yourself. That’s true freedom. That’s claiming power you didn’t even realize was deep within the layers of your being.

That’s the work we do in Layers of Light.

This wall at was custom designed around their colour palette, their vision and feel for their space 💖

It was also my first textured wall, and a great teacher. I quickly learned that texture needs to be pushed further than I initially realized to create contrast and depth. A good challenge nonetheless.

What makes this one extra special? The mother of pearl paint, a finish I can no longer source as it’s been discontinued.

I love seeing it in past walls or canvases. Combined with angel quartz from , gold sparkle, and metallic foil (a signature of course), this space became one of a kind.

There is nothing on the market quite like a hand painted wall. ✨👌🏻

Not wallpaper. Not wood paneling. Not stone. Nothing that can do what a hand painted finish can do, and here’s why.

Every single wall I create is designed for the space + client. The colours are pulled to complement what’s already around it. The texture and contrast is sometimes more, less, soft, bold - whatever that room and my intuition are asking for.

That’s something a generic panel or a mass produced stone/ tile won’t achieve.

So many default to finishes that look beautiful, yet they also look like everyone else’s. And ps there’s nothing wrong with that.

But if you want something that stops people mid-conversation, that makes them take a second look, that feels truly yours, a JMS wall is an elevated look and feel.
