🌑 New Moon Reflections: Giving Fear a Voice 🌑
Last week’s New Moon has me sitting in a space of deep reflection. If I’m being honest, I feel like a completely different person lately. My choices are different, my path is new, and the things showing up in my life since making these changes have been nothing short of mind-blowing.
But with new growth often comes old shadows.
Lately, I’ve been practicing something different: bringing a voice to my emotions, not just a feeling. Most recently, this showed up as fear. In this new era of self, I chose to do something I once found impossible - I voiced that fear to one of my teachers and mentors.
The Fear of Not Enough ~ The emotion my body was carrying is one I know many of you are familiar with: the fear of not being enough. Usually, we wrap a story or a long narration around our fears to try and make sense of them. But I’ve learned that giving a simple, honest voice to the emotion supports the body in processing it more fully.
When we strip away the "why" and the "how," we are left with the raw somatic experience. My practice lately has been:
✅ Acknowledge: "My body fears it is not enough."
✅ Sit with it: Allow the sensation to exist without trying to fix it or argue with it.
✅ Voice it: Speak it out loud to move the energy.
By voicing the fear, I am supporting my nervous system to process and eventually release it. It’s a core part of the work I’m doing with the Method I've been slowly bringing into being, learning to accurately sense and regulate what our bodies are telling us.
This New Moon, I chose to let go of the stories and simply listen to the wisdom of my body. 🌑✨
