! My name is Leah Lòpez and I am the intuitive and creative behind Illuminate, a local Saskatchewan business dedicated to offering empowering self-love practices including Ayurvedic Alchemy, Energy Empowerment, Restorative Reiki and Light Frequency, Symbolic Sound, Crystal Consciousness and Bountiful Breathwork as well as handcrafted jewelry and adornments. Ayurveda is an ancient tradition originating in India. Translated, it means "the science of life" and emphasizes the connections between the body, mind, and spirit. Ayurveda emphasizes good health and prevention and treatment of illness through simple and intuitive lifestyle practices as well as the use of herbal remedies. Ayurvedic medicine is holistic, which means viewing the body and mind as a whole. Ayurveda not only treats a person's physical complaints, but it also changes lifestyle practices to help maintain or improve health. Having worked with a team of Ayurvedic Doctors and Practitioners in India and successfully removing my ulcerative colitis, I committed to a two year Ayurvedic Practitioner program and have been integrating this wonderful modality into my offerings. I am a Tibetan Usui Reiki Master and Level 3 Karuna Ki student, who enjoys connecting and empowering others on their own journeys. The Reiki practice has been a key support in my own journey towards connection to and love of self and I enjoy helping clients experience this wonderfully balancing energy. I offer Light Energy, an extremely peaceful and harmonious energy modality which supports grounding and connection with self. Light symbol energy offers gentle wisdom to integrate and support you on your Earth journey. By accessing and utilizing this grounding energy, we deepen our connection with our soul’s light which may support you in increasing your self-awareness, clarity, creativity, reduce stress and negative emotions, restore focus and shift perspective. I am excited to share that I have studied several breathwork patterns, including pranayama and Clarity Breathwork, and love connecting your with your breath as a tool to help calm the nervous system. I also offer sound bowl healing which is often incorporated into my Reiki sessions. Crystal Bowl healing uses sound to attune to our human chemistry. As vibrational beings, sound frequencies and vibrations connect and ground our energy. The sounds and vibrations emanating from the crystal singing bowls support a calming and tranquil effect on the body, supporting your relaxation. All of my offerings are influenced by my own journey and the world around me - ancient culture and traditions, Goddess energy, nature, the moon, and the earth at her feet. I find my inspiration in everyday life. I utilize stones and crystals in my Reiki practice wherever possible to combine these healing modalities. 🌑 New Moon Reflections: Giving Fear a Voice 🌑

​Last week’s New Moon has me sitting in a space of deep reflection. If I’m being honest, I feel like a completely different person lately. My choices are different, my path is new, and the things showing up in my life since making these changes have been nothing short of mind-blowing.

​But with new growth often comes old shadows.

​Lately, I’ve been practicing something different: bringing a voice to my emotions, not just a feeling. Most recently, this showed up as fear. In this new era of self, I chose to do something I once found impossible - I voiced that fear to one of my teachers and mentors.

​The Fear of Not Enough ~ ​The emotion my body was carrying is one I know many of you are familiar with: the fear of not being enough. Usually, we wrap a story or a long narration around our fears to try and make sense of them. But I’ve learned that giving a simple, honest voice to the emotion supports the body in processing it more fully.

​When we strip away the "why" and the "how," we are left with the raw somatic experience. My practice lately has been:

✅ Acknowledge: "My body fears it is not enough."

✅ Sit with it: Allow the sensation to exist without trying to fix it or argue with it.

✅ ​Voice it: Speak it out loud to move the energy.

​By voicing the fear, I am supporting my nervous system to process and eventually release it. It’s a core part of the work I’m doing with the Method I've been slowly bringing into being, learning to accurately sense and regulate what our bodies are telling us.

​This New Moon, I chose to let go of the stories and simply listen to the wisdom of my body. 🌑✨

⚖️ The Equinox: Finding Balance in the Mystical

​Yesterday, the Earth stood in a moment of perfect poise. The light and the dark were equal, reminding us that life itself is a delicate dance of balance. 🌓

​But as a seeker of holistic wellbeing, I’ve learned that balance isn't just about managing our schedules or our nutrition. It’s about honoring the spirituality that fills the gaps in our lives, the parts that science and logic can't quite explain. 🪄

​✨ Why We Need Mysticism✨

​In my nearly two decades of guiding others, I’ve noticed that we often feel "scattered" when we rely solely on what we can see and measure. We need the mystical to:

🧭​✨Fill the Gaps: Spirituality provides a home for the longings we can’t name and the coincidences we can’t ignore.

🍵✨​Add Depth to the Ordinary: When we view our lives through a spiritual lens, a simple cup of tea or a walk in the woods becomes a sacred ritual.

💕👀✨​Embrace the Unexplained: There is a profound peace in admitting that we don’t have all the answers. The "black box" of the universe doesn't have to be scary; it can be a source of awe.

​🌿 Grounding into the Shift🌿

​In both Ayurveda and TCM, the Equinox is a threshold ☯️🌗. It is a time to move stagnant energy and reground ourselves into the shifting season.🍃🌀As I continue to develop my Wellness Framework, I’m constantly reminded that it is difficult to regulate what you cannot accurately sense.

✨ The Ancient "Super-Grain" Hiding in My Oats

​I’ve recently started adding a secret ingredient to my morning bowl: Amaranth flour. 🥣 It’s small, mighty, and has been used for thousands of years to build strength and resilience.

​As we age and approach the transition into perimenopause and menopause, our nutritional needs shift—and Amaranth is the perfect ally for this journey.

💜💚​Why Amaranth is a Hormonal Hero💚💜:

🔥​Ayurvedic Wisdom: Amaranth is known to be slightly warming and incredibly grounding, making it a perfect tool to pacify Vata (the "wind" energy that often causes scattered thoughts and dryness as we age).

🌬️​TCM Perspective: In Traditional Chinese Medicine, it is prized for its ability to clear "dampness" while tonifying Qi (life force). It helps build the foundational energy we need when our internal "Yin" starts to shift.

🌿💪🏼​The Cortisol Connection: Amaranth is exceptionally high in protein. Consuming adequate protein in the morning helps stabilize blood sugar and reduces cortisol (our stress hormone).

A reflection post 💜💚

This past year has felt like climbing a mountain in many ways.

✨ Breaking away to explore

✨ Finding strength and resilience in solitude

✨ New adventures and lots of learning

There have definitely been unexpected slips and scary landslides. A journey with lots of lessons and significant healing. Breaking down pieces that have been stagnant and stuck. Tests of will, fortitude and perseverance.

But what I've truly found is home. 💚

A return to center and to self. 💜

Dissolving into nothingness. 💚

A complete rebuild of my foundation. 💜

And what I've come to realize through all of this is just how little I need to control. Just how much trust and intuition really matters. And how slowness, silence and reflection can fill the soul and quiet the mind.

I wanted to post about this as transition again approaches. A remembering of this very special and potent time in my life that I will never forget and always be eternally grateful for.

To echo my gratitude outward, a ripple of positivity. To thank every being that has come into my life this past year and for those that fell away. It has meant so much.

To remember to slow, to reflect, to feel and to listen.

And to know that introspection has served me far more than control.

I'm all so proud and grateful to be here.
