❤️ February is Heart Health Month! Did you know that 6 million Canadians are living with heart disease or stroke, and nearly 80% of premature cases could be prevented with healthy lifestyle habits?

Risk factors affect most of us. 9/10 Canadians have at least one key modifiable risk factor, like smoking, poor diet, inactivity, or high blood pressure. Building healthy habits can make a real difference in reducing risk.

Small steps = Big impact
✅Eat more veggies, fruit, whole grains, and lean protein
✅Stay active and keep moving
✅Don’t smoke, and if you do, ask for support to quit
✅Know your numbers – check your blood pressure regularly
✅Manage day to day stress

Ancient Rivers Family Health Team offers a variety of group and individual supports for people looking to make health changes to support a healthy lifestyle. One upcoming workshop available to join is "Heart Smart! Empowering Your Lifestyle For Optimal Heart Health" taking place on March 31. Visit our website at www.arfht.ca for more information and to register.
