Today I led a Sound Bath under what many call the Blood Moon 🌕🌑
Grandmother Moon rose heavy and red…
ancient, steady, watching.
A reminder that we are daughters of cycles —
not meant to live in constant light.
In Western language, it’s the Blood Moon — the moon in eclipse, glowing deep red in the night sky.
In many Indigenous teachings, the full moon is honoured as Grandmother Moon — a sacred timekeeper and guide for the cycles of women and the turning of the seasons. This moon is often known as the Blood Worm Moon — the turning of the season. The time when the earth begins to soften. When life stirs beneath the surface. When what was frozen starts to move again.
Both names carry power.
Both speak to transformation.
An eclipse reminds us that shadow is not something to fear.
It is part of the cycle.
Just like us.
We are not meant to stay the same.
We are meant to shed.
To soften.
To rise in our timing.
If this 10-minute sound bath stirs something in you, imagine what happens when we gather in person — intentionally, floating in water, in a private space to reconnect to our bodies.
I have a few spots left for my Spring Equinox Sound Bath / Float
March 20 in Rocanville.
Comment “MOON” or message me and I’ll send you the details. ✨
“I trust my timing.
I honour my cycles.
I rise in my own way.”
With love, 💜
Laurel
