Crowning Glory came to fruition because of my love of pregnancy, birthing time and postpartum phase. Because I sadly cannot populate the world with my own children, I have decided to help women, and families through the immense changes that happen when welcoming a baby. A huge change in my thinking came after the birth of my last baby where I (finally) fully accepted help from others. I was able to nurse my newborn undisturbed many times because someone was there to pick up my kids, my mess and my spirit. I am interested natural health, fitness, nutrition, breastfeeding and mental health of new and expectant moms. I love a good coffee, red wine and a great belly laugh. Enjoy my page!

Most due dates are calculated using a formula that assumes:
• a 28-day cycle
• ovulation on day 14
• bodies follow a schedule

Many don’t.

That single date can quietly influence:
– how pregnancy is talked about
– how risk is framed
– when pressure starts to build
– and how much time people feel they’re “allowed” to have

2 weeks until The Prenatal Academy begins! Do you have your spot?

The Prenatal Academy is an 8-week program to be supported and get educated while you’re pregnant in preparation for your birth. You will have access to course modules for 10 weeks, and will be delivered a new segment every morning during the weekdays to watch and complete at a time that your schedule benefits from.

Each week builds gently on the last, giving you space to learn, reflect, and make sense of what matters for you as your pregnancy unfolds. The pace is intentional. The support is steady. The guidance is there when questions arise.

If you’ve been saving instagram posts, downloading free resources, and thinking, “I wish I had something consistent to lean into,” this is THE next step.

Two weeks out is a beautiful time to join!

Doors are open.
You’re welcome here.

We don’t care how you choose to birth your baby.

We care about how it felt to be in your body while it was happening.

Birth doesn’t land as a checklist later. it lives in memory, in the nervous system, in the way people talk about that day months or years afterward. And what shapes that isn’t the label of the birth, but whether you felt powerful, included, and respected as things unfolded.

We care that information was shared in a way you could actually take in.
That questions were met with patience.
That consent wasn’t rushed or assumed.
That you were spoken to as someone capable, even in intense moments.
That there was room to pause, to understand, to decide.

We care that nothing happened around you without you knowing why.
And that whatever path your birth took, you weren’t left alone to make sense of it afterward.

Birth can be intense. It can be surprising. It can change course.
What can help protect people from harm is clarity, respect, and support that stays with you.

That’s what we stand for. That's what we are teaching. How to have a powerful birth. A Powerful Cesarean. A Powerful Medicated Birth. A Powerful Homebirth. A Powerful Unmedicated Hospital Birth.

So many families are making big decisions in pregnancy, birth, and postpartum without ever being given the chance to truly understand them.

Choices are often introduced in moments when people are already tired, vulnerable, or feeling like they should decide right that moment. Often times it's the first time they're ever thinking about that test/option/procedure/intervention.

Induction comes up and surprises you during an appointment or NST.
A membrane sweep is suggested while you’re already getting a cervical exam.
Formula is offered in the middle of an emotional feeding moment instead of IBCLC lactation support.

Most people are hearing about these things for the first time when they’re asked to say yes.

I’m curious: what’s one decision you wish you’d had more time or information to think through?

The ones who explain things in a way that actually makes sense.

We walk alongside you as you prepare for birth, and you leave feeling more confident, more steady, and way less like you’re winging it.

You don’t need to know everything.
You just need support that’s actually on your side.

We don’t assume that when someone says “natural birth,” they mean physiologic birth right off the bat.

Because when I’m sitting with expecting parents and they say, “I want a natural birth,” it could mean a variety of things...

Sometimes they mean a vaginal birth with an epidural.
Sometimes they mean no epidural.
Sometimes they mean an unmedicated vaginal birth.
Sometimes they mean an unmedicated homebirth.

And all of that makes sense.

The thing is, the word natural leaves a lot of room.
You can have a vaginal birth with medication.
You can birth in a hospital, at home, with monitoring, without it, with interventions, without them — and still call it natural.

When we talk about physiologic birth, we’re talking:

• Birth led by the body’s natural hormonal processes
• Labour allowed to unfold at the body’s pace
• A focus on safety, privacy, warmth, and a calm environment
• Freedom to move, change positions, and follow instinct
• Minimal interruptions unless there’s a clear reason
• Decisions made with time, explanation, and consent
• Care that responds to what’s happening rather than a textbook policy
• Support that protects nervous system regulation
• An experience where the birthing person stays present and oriented
• Birth that happens unmedicated and without intervention
That’s why we don’t assume.

What we see is both can bring powerful parents out on the other side.

I’m curious — when you hear “natural birth,” what do you think of?

what’s one thing you think people should unlearn about birth?
Share in the comments!
We'll start first...

✨ That birth is inherently dangerous and unpredictable.
Birth typically follows patterns. Physiology is understood. What’s often unpredictable is what's surrounding us during birth. When birth is framed as an emergency by default, or decisions are made from a place of policy > individualized care, fear fills the gaps and decision-making gets harder.

✨ That “going with the flow” is the safest plan.
There’s hospital flow, baby flow, and your flow. Without preparation, most people end up going with the system’s flow — not because they chose it, but because they didn’t know there were other rhythms at play.

✨ That preparation is about controlling the outcome.
Preparation changes how you meet birth, not whether everything goes “according to plan.” It supports presence, clarity, and steadiness especially when things shift.

Most people prepare for birth by collecting information in a phone folder and calling it a day.
What often changes the experience is who you are being inside it, and how you embody the information you are learning.

Can you apply it to your pregnancy?
to your care?
to your communication?

If not, it might not make a difference for you. Thats why exists for you!

When you’re oriented, present, and steady, birth feels different.
You can stay with sensation without panicking.
You can pause when the room speeds up.
You can listen, question, and decide without shrinking to take up less space.
Your partner is prepared and powerfully being a tree for you in the room. He or She doesn't need to be asked to support you physically and emotionally because they already are.
You can receive support instead of bracing against everything.

That way of being doesn’t come from luck or personality. It comes from preparation that gives you context, time, and steadiness before you’re in the middle of it.

This is what we care about at My Powerful Birth.
Not perfect births.
Present ones.

You hand your coffee order to a stranger without thinking twice.
You get into cars driven by people you’ve never met.
You fly in planes, ride rollercoasters, eat takeout, make your own doctors appointments, advocate for yourself at the dentist, and in all those places not only do you trust strangers, but they TRUST YOU. They trust you to know what's best for yourself.

And then pregnancy begins.
Suddenly, you’re told not to trust your instincts.
To second-guess your questions.
To hand decisions over because you're not the expert.

But this is your body.
You ARE the expert at living in her.
This is your baby.
Your life unfolding.
Your matrescence journey.

Trusting yourself in pregnancy, birth, and postpartum may be unfamiliar at times, especially in a culture that treats birth like something that happens to you instead of through you, but I promise you that you are powerful.

Self-trust grows when you’re informed, supported, and given time to think. When you use your voice to say whole body YES, to ask for more clarity, to ask for more time.
And when it does, decisions feel clearer. You recognize when something fits, and when it doesn’t.

You already trust strangers with your everyday life.
The real question is whether you’re willing to trust yourself.
