- ABOUT GRIEVING THROUGH IT. & ME -
Why hello there!
I am Cassandra Holmes, founder of Grieving Through It. I truly believe grief is something we shouldn't navigate on our own, but I also understand that finding someone who can actually sit with you in your grief is often difficult.
That is what I aim to do, allow an open and non judgmental space for things to be messy. A space that allows you to talk about and work through the ever changing waves of grief. I am not here to fix you because, well.. you are not broken, you are simply grieving.
If you are looking for a quick fix, easy answers and solutions, this is not the place for you. But, if you are looking for someone to hold space for you, be vulnerable with you and allow you to work through your own grief with some gentle guidance, you have come to the right place.
I have been part of the bereavement industry for 13 years, and most recently successfully obtained my diploma in Thanatology (the study of death and dying). In addition, I have been volunteering with a local Hospice as part of their bereavement support team, facilitating grief support groups. More importantly, I am a grieving person too, having lost my father in my early 20’s and most recently the heart of my family, my Nana . Through my years in the bereavement industry and being a bereaved daughter/granddaughter myself, I have seen both the desperate need for grief support and the lack of affordable resources available. I want to change that, one grief support session at a time.
Grief is hard, let's talk about it.
