Giti Borzooeian holds two Master's degrees, one in Science, Applied Health Science, Kinesiology from Brock University, and one in Biochemistry from Esfahan University, Iran.
A Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science from Shiraz Medical Science University, Iran.
Her recent research investigated the effect of high and low-impact high-intensity exercise on myokine and osteokine responses in young adult females. She has also previously researched stem cell therapy in cartilage repair in arthritis.
In 2013, Giti collaborated with Northeastern University, Boston, USA in two projects "Bioconjugation of lysozyme on carbon nanotubes“ The outcome of this research offers a new perspective on using bio-molecules for cell and drug delivery. Since graduating Giti has been working as a research assistant at Brock University.
