Cosmo Design - Knives & Rings www.cosmoknives.com Beautiful knives take time to make. I take enormous pride in my craftsmanship and each knife takes however long it takes to get it right.

In the world we live in today, taking ones time to do things right is a lost art. I feel fortunate and blessed to be able to obsess on a single knife and massage each part of it until it is perfect. Mass production and speed is not the mentality in my shop. When people view my work I want them to stop and think – how did he do that, I have never seen that befor. That’s what makes my pieces successful and engaging on all levels. Thats what motivates me to create each day. I make beautiful functional pieces of art. Cosmo knives are never owned they are simply held for the next generation.

It’s been a while since I posted anything, I have been busy making luxury… seamless forged Gold wedding rings, keyhole stainless Damascus chef knives and Salish flippers, but most recently I enjoyed making this 35 year anniversary gift for a client. Black Ebony and Stainless Damascus Chop Sticks, with repurposed red Coral and Silver. (Coral being the 35yr symbol).

With the over size 0.22 thickness,hair splitting 17 degree scandi grind, rounded thumb pad and choil, sharp 90 degree spine, black G10 liner and pins with brass reinforced holes, locally sourced and stabilized maple burl handle and bead.
