Rosacea is not something you just live with
It is something you manage with the right plan
And that plan is never just one thing

Treatment for rosacea is a combination approach, tailored to what your skin is actually doing.

In clinic, we use advanced laser technology to target redness and visible vessels
Our Fotona laser works by gently heating the deeper layers of the skin to reduce inflammation and strengthen the skin over time. It can also target those visible vessels commonly seen on the nose and cheeks, helping to coagulate them and reduce persistent redness.

Our IPL system is another option that helps settle flushing and overall redness, creating a more even skin tone.

But treatment does not stop there...

We pair in-clinic treatments with skincare that supports and repairs the skin barrier
Think calming, anti-inflammatory ingredients that reduce flare-ups and sensitivity
Our ZO Skin Barrier Repair Program is a great starting point for skin that feels reactive or compromised.

SPF is not optional! UV exposure is one of the biggest triggers for rosacea, even on cloudy days.

Lifestyle also plays a role.
Heat, stress, spicy foods, alcohol, and even hormonal changes can all trigger flare-ups
We work with you to identify what is impacting your skin and how to better manage it.

For some patients, prescriptions are part of the plan
Working with a Dermatologist allows us to incorporate topical or oral medications when needed.

There is no quick fix,
But there is a path forward.

When these treatments and habits work together, you can reduce flare-ups, improve your skin’s strength, and feel more in control of your rosacea.

If your redness is constant or worsening, book a consultation with our team. We will guide you through what your skin needs and what will actually make a difference.

Rosacea is rarely just one type.
Many patients experience a combination, which is why a one-size approach does not work.

At SDC, we take the time to understand what your skin is doing before recommending treatment. Because treating rosacea properly starts with knowing what you are actually dealing with.

If you have been told it is “just sensitive skin” but it keeps coming back, it may be time to look a little deeper.

Book a consultation with our team to better understand your skin and build a plan that actually works.

We are excited to welcome our upgraded IPL device, the Clarion Lucent, to Saskatoon Dermatology Centre.

This new technology allows us to deliver the same trusted IPL treatments you know and love, with enhanced precision, comfort, and performance. The care, expertise, and personalized approach remain exactly the same, just supported by an even better device.

A small glimpse of a few of the physicians who help make Saskatoon Dermatology Centre what it is.

Between busy clinics, procedures, teaching, research, and the many questions they answer every day, our doctors bring an incredible amount of knowledge, dedication, and care to our patients and team.

We feel very lucky to work alongside them and grateful for everything they do behind the scenes and in the exam room.

Happy National Physician Day to our doctors and to the physicians across our community.

An important update from our clinic.

Due to continued demand for dermatology care in our region, we have made the difficult decision to close our medical waitlist. This was not a decision made lightly, but it is necessary to ensure we can responsibly care for the patients already waiting.

Please swipe through to understand the why, what this means for patients, and how you can help support access to dermatology care in Saskatchewan.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Not all moles are concerning, but knowing what to watch for can make a big difference.

The ABCDEs of melanoma are simple signs that may indicate a mole should be assessed by a medical professional.

A – Asymmetry
B – Border irregularity
C – Colour variation
D – Diameter larger than 6 mm
E – Evolving or changing

If you notice a mole changing in size, shape, or colour, it is always worth bringing it to your doctor’s attention. Early detection is key.

If needed, your doctor can send a referral to a Dermatologist for further assessment.

What does a cosmetic consultation at Saskatoon Dermatology Centre look like?

It starts with a conversation. Our cosmetic consultations are designed to be informative, supportive, and completely pressure free.

You will meet one on one with one of our cosmetic consultants to talk through your skin concerns, goals, and lifestyle. We take the time to assess your skin, explain what is happening, and review treatment options that make sense for you.

This is where education matters. We focus on helping you understand your skin, outlining realistic treatment timelines, and creating a personalized plan that may include skincare, in clinic treatments, or a combination of both.

There is no obligation to proceed. Our goal is to give you clarity, guidance, and a plan you feel confident in, whether you are ready to start right away or simply want to explore your options.

If you have been thinking about treatments but are not sure where to begin, a cosmetic consultation is the perfect place to start.

Book online or reach out to our team to schedule your consultation.
