Bone to be Wild… and well Articulated … 🦴💜
Finished Day One and Two of Osteoarticulations in Manual Osteopathic Therapy on Friday!
It was a very knowledgeable two days of learning about the coccyx, sacrum, and lumbar spine.
It’s interesting to see how one or all of these structures could go into misalignment and how it can start to affect the rest of the body in various ways!
Here is what we found in my body:
Lately I have been having issues with my low back and jaw pain/sensitivity. During class we found out that my sacrum was slightly out of alignment, my lumbar vertebrae 2 & 3 were slightly rotated right, and part of my thoracic spine was also rotated to the right.
When we adjusted my sacrum and coccyx, I didn’t feel much at first, but about 10 minutes after the adjustment I could feel the fascia in my thoracic wanting to release to allow my thoracic spine to rotate back to neutral! It felt odd not being rotated to the right, a little bit foreign but freeing. Later I felt like my foot pressure changed from anterior to more center! I feel now like I’m naturally wanting to stand taller (lol I literally sit and walk like a shrimp most days) and it feels good to be in a taller position.
Just that little bit of release helped so much! I’m excited to see where I am at in the next few days when my body has had a chance to settle!
Hoping it will help the jaw pain!! 🤞
I hope to keep you all updated on this journey a little more!
Things have felt crazy for me lately and needed a little reset break!
