If bedtime feels like a full-contact sport in your house… you’re not alone 😅
When kids get “wild” before bed, most parents assume:
• They’re being naughty
• They’re avoiding sleep
• They just need stricter discipline
But what I see in clinic every week is something different.
By the end of the day, their nervous system is overloaded.
Lights.
Noise.
Transitions.
Big emotions.
Screens.
Activity.
When the nervous system is stuck in go-go-go mode, it doesn’t just magically switch off because it’s 8:00pm.
That wired, silly, meltdown energy?
It’s often dysregulation — not defiance.
And when we support regulation (through movement, routine, connection, and sometimes gentle chiropractic care), bedtime gets a whole lot smoother.
If evenings feel chaotic in your house, send me a DM that says “BED” and let’s talk 🤍
