Celebrating World Doula Week 🤍

I recently saw a beautiful post honoring doulas, and it got me thinking…

We’re being celebrated this week and that means so much. The recognition, the kind words, the spotlight on the work we do, it truly matters.

But it also made me wonder… why does it feel like this is the only time many people hear about doulas?

Why aren’t we more commonly known in everyday conversations around birth?

Why aren’t we more integrated into hospital spaces where families could benefit from continuous, compassionate support?

Doulas aren’t just for one week.
We are there in the quiet moments, the long labours, the vulnerable transitions, and the early postpartum days when everything feels new and tender.

World Doula Week is beautiful it shines a light on this work we care so deeply about.

I just hope that light continues to grow beyond this week, so more families know they don’t have to do this alone 🤍
