If you’re due in 2026, this is your reminder that birth support isn’t something to leave until the last minute. The families I work with often book months in advance to make sure they feel fully supported going into their birth.

Here’s where things are at right now👇

I had the opportunity to attend the Influential Women in Business Gala 2026 in Calgary ✨

Listening to their stories and meeting so many powerful women was something I won’t forget. I had the honour of being in a room with 1,500 people who truly support women in power, women supporting women, alongside incredible male champions, and Olympic athletes.

A night that reminded me how important it is to keep going, even when you’re doubting yourself 🤍

A little update from Baby Bug

Five months ago when I leapt into this work with both feet, I never anticipated it would grow this quickly or become as full as it has.

As our team, our social media, and our Baby Bug families continue to grow, I’ve made the decision to take a little time over the next few weeks to pause posting while I reorganize, plan, and refresh everything behind the scenes for the future.

As a stay-at-home mom to two busy little boys, my time on social media is limited and I want to make sure everything I’m building is clean, organized, and serving families in the best way possible.

This is not a pause in care or services. We are still very much here, and we are still supporting families.

Our messages and emails will remain open at all times, so please feel free to reach out whenever you need us.

We are not closing. We are not stepping away. We are simply growing, refining, and updating our website and social media so everything runs more smoothly moving forward.

It’s funny how becoming a doula makes you see birth in everything even sourdough 🤍

This starter looked like nothing was happening for hours. Quiet. Slow. No obvious change. But underneath, it was doing exactly what it needed to do.

I didn’t stir it. I didn’t rush it. I didn’t add anything extra.

And then, on its own time, it rose, doubled, and transformed.

Birth can look like this too.

Not always fast. Not always obvious. But powerful, steady, and unfolding exactly as it should when we give it space.

Trust the process. ✨
