Vaccines aren’t just for kids — they’re for everyone who wants to keep life moving strong. From babies to grandparents, every shot helps protect against serious illness:

🦠 RSV – Now there’s protection available for infants to older adults.
🌬️ Pneumonia – Vaccines like PCV21 help protect against serious lung infections.
🤧 Flu – Get your annual flu shot to stay ahead of the season.
💪 MMR – Measles, mumps, and rubella are preventable — make sure you’re up to date.
🔥 Shingles – If you’re 50+ or have a weakened immune system, the shingles vaccine can help prevent painful outbreaks.

Vaccines protect more than your health — they protect the people you love. ❤️Talk to us today to see what vaccines are right for you.

Our thoughts are with everyone affected by Hurricane Melissa across Jamaica and parts of the Caribbean. 💙 We know many travelers and residents are facing unexpected disruptions and health risks. At Jema Clinic, we’re here to help you stay informed, safe, and prepared.

If you’re currently traveling or planning a trip to affected areas, here are some key reminders:

✅ Insect-borne illnesses: Storms and flooding can increase mosquito activity, raising the risk of diseases like dengue, Zika, and chikungunya.
💧 Water safety: Avoid drinking or brushing your teeth with tap water unless you’re sure it’s safe. Use bottled or boiled water when possible.
💊 Medication access: Pharmacies and clinics may be closed or have limited supplies. Make sure you have enough medication before you travel.
💉 Vaccine awareness: If you’re traveling to affected areas, make sure your vaccines (like hepatitis A, typhoid, and tetanus) are up to date.

At Jema Clinic, our nurses can advise on post-storm travel safety and illness prevention.

If you have upcoming travel plans or need to update your vaccinations, we’re here to help.

⚾💙 When Rosie’s not at work, one of her favorite places to be has been at the ballfield — cheering on her favorite little humans.
To everyone who shares a love for the good ol’ game of baseball, the energy, the excitement, the pride, this moment’s for us!
Here’s to the Toronto Blue Jays — let’s soak it all in and go all the way! 💙🙌

The Jema staff have over 40 years of nursing experience in the public health and travel medicine fields. Trust Jema for your travel health needs – we are the travel wellness experts!!

JEMA enjoys many collaborations not only amongst it’s peers in the Health Care field, but also with business such as the oil and gas industry, mining industry, local businesses, travel/tourism, colleges, universities, schools, emergency services personnel and of course the general public. JEMA is proud to give back to the by volunteering our services with various community groups around Newfoundland and Labrador.
