🌈 'I will be forever grateful for the tools my son now has to help guide him throughout his lifetime.'
This 19-year-old completed TWO Davis programs - one for autism, one for dyslexia. His mother shares:
'The programs are highly effective and Michelle is a genuinely caring facilitator who truly wants to see her clients succeed. I have confidence he will manage just fine and is finally on a level playing field to manoeuvre through his adult years.'
Her only regret? 'Not finding Davis sooner. I know it would have saved us years of frustration.'
When we address multiple neurotypes together, we don't just improve academics - we transform entire life trajectories. 💜
As we close out the year, I’m feeling incredibly grateful for the families, children, teens, and adults who trusted the Davis Methods @ Picture Perfect Learning with their learning journeys.
This year reminded me again that neurodiverse minds are not broken. WE simply learn differently. With the right tools, understanding, and support, growth is always possible.
Here’s to a new year filled with confidence, curiosity, and celebrating strengths.
Wishing you and your families a gentle, hopeful New Year. 💫

Meet Ron Davis—the man who changed how the world sees dyslexia.
Labeled 'uneducable and mentally re****ed' as a child. Couldn't read for 38 years. Today? His methods help millions worldwide.
Ron's story destroys every stereotype about dyslexia:
The Struggle:
Born with severe autism and dyslexia
Doctors said he'd 'never learn or achieve much beyond what a chimpanzee could'
38 years unable to read a single sentence
Society saw only deficits
The Breakthrough:
Discovered that when sculpting, his mind entered a state where language didn't exist—pure imagery
Realized he could find a mental state where language WOULD work
Identified disorientation as the root cause of dyslexic symptoms
Created methods that work WITH visual thinking, not against it
The Legacy:
✨ 'The Gift of Dyslexia' translated into 20+ languages
✨ 400+ licensed facilitators globally
✨ Methods available in 40+ countries
✨ 30 years of transforming lives
Ron didn't overcome his dyslexia—he harnessed it. His extraordinary spatial visualization abilities (BECAUSE of his dyslexia) led him to work as an engineer during the Space Race.
Everyday, we honor Ron's legacy and celebrate the millions who've discovered their gifts through understanding how their minds actually work.
Your 'learning difference' might be your greatest gift. 💫"
Happy Friday, everyone!
Hope you’re having a wonderful afternoon. I’m excited to be working on Change and Consequence today with one of my clients and his support team. Here’s a little peek at our setup! 🎨✨
Update, here are our results. 😍😊😂😁

David’s story is one that truly moved us.
From uncertainty to confidence — he’s now living independently and thriving.
Moments like this remind us why we do what we do. 💛

It's simple and huge all at the same time - learning the three parts of words. 😍☺️
The three parts of a word: why neurodivergent thinkers process reading differently
Every word has three essential components that readers must integrate:
1️⃣ MEANING: What the word represents conceptually
2️⃣ SPELLING: How the word appears visually on the page
3️⃣ SOUND: How the word is pronounced audibly
For neurotypical readers, these three components connect automatically and simultaneously. When they see the word "horse," they instantly recognize the spelling, connect it to the sound /h-o-r-s-e/, and understand the meaning—all in one seamless process.
But for many dyslexic and neurodivergent thinkers, these connections work differently:
They often think primarily in PICTURES, not words
Their brains excel at grasping MEANING (often seeing rich, multidimensional concepts)
But the connections to SPELLING and SOUND can become disconnected or confused
This explains why a highly intelligent person can understand complex concepts yet struggle with basic reading. It's not an intelligence issue—it's a processing difference.
Traditional reading methods focus heavily on phonics (the sound component), which often works against the natural strengths of visual-spatial thinkers.
The Davis Method takes a different approach by using clay modeling to help create concrete, multisensory connections between all three components—building on visual strengths rather than fighting against them.
The result? Often remarkable breakthroughs where traditional methods have failed.

In January of 2018 Nadine completed The Davis® Dyslexia Correction program (www.dyslexia.com) which changed her life forever. Nadine had grown up suffering with undiagnosed ADHD and Dyslexia (diagnosis was not easy to come by in the 1970s). Nadine grew up as a busy multi-tasker who struggled to “sit still and pay attention”. As a young child and through most of her adulthood, Nadine’s ‘normal’ was a challenge compared to others. Like many others she grew up in a school system that was not set up for students with different learning styles and different needs. As a student who learned and explored differently than her peers, Nadine was left feeling like an outsider.
In 2017 Nadine was accepted to King’s University College in London, Ontario for Thanatology (Loss, grief, and bereavement studies). She once again found herself struggling with her studies. Nadine was 47 years old at the time and now understood that she had Dyslexia and ADHD, but understanding her stumbling blocks and overcoming them were two very different things. Emotionally and academically struggling, Nadine turned to “The Gift of Dyslexia” by Ron Davis (audiobook) for inspiration and a different perspective.
Nadine’s research at this time lead her to The Davis® Dyslexia Correction program where she was guided through the 30-hour program by Tracy (her Davis facilitator). Since completing the program Nadine’s confidence has grown every single day. She can read out loud in front of an audience (something she would not have attempted previously), as well as read and understand what she is reading. She can also handle the alphabet forwards and backwards. With the help of The Davis® Dyslexia Correction program Nadine was able to learn new skills and knowledge, which allowed her to “take responsibility for [her] learning disability”.
Nadine has made it her personal mission to help others avoid the same frustrations and feelings of “otherness” that plagued her through much of her life. She wants to bring a level of understanding and awareness regarding different learning needs and the impact learning disabilities can have. Nadine has been able to discover that her ADHD and dyslexia are “[her] gift”, rather than a shortcoming, and she wants to help others have that same moment of discovery. It is her goal to offer an experience, like the one she had with The Davis® Dyslexia Correction program, to students and families that will help them find acceptance, as well as skills and tools to overcome any stumbling points they may experience. This lead to the creation of Picture Perfect Learning Solutions, Nadine’s personal company that will help people just like her to reach their full potential.
