Practicing Reiki has taught me to trust my intuition in a way I never did before.

There are moments in sessions when something unexpected comes through. Not profound, not logical, just there. I used to hesitate. I used to wonder if it was worth saying.

What I’ve learned is this: holding space isn’t about understanding what shows up. It’s about trusting it enough to share it.

Again and again, the things that feel small or random to me are the ones that land with the most meaning for someone else.

That has changed how I listen…in sessions, and in life.

Trust doesn’t grow from certainty.
It grows from following what you feel, even when you don’t yet know why.

Card Reveal Update:

Left: THYME
PRESENCE, SELF-AWARENESS
CARD MEANING: With its sharp scent, thyme tells you to be in the moment and pay attention to the state of your mind, body, and spirit. We sometimes rely on herbs to help ground us. The Thyme card is asking you to be present and self-aware. It may be time to take an inventory of how you feel. With all the pretense, wishful thinking, and illusion stripped away, evaluate yourself honestly.
Take note of areas that sting or hurt, and what feels good.
Try not to judge your feelings. Just offer them love and understanding, and remember that feelings are not actions. It takes strength and effort to stay present in your life.
REFLECTION

Middle: MORTAR AND PESTLE
INTEGRATION, SUBTLETY, THOROUGHNESS
CARD MEANING: The goals of the mortar and pestle are twofold: first to reduce the size of something, and then to combine ingredients. In order to evenly combine your components, you need to break them down into smaller parts. The grinding motion used with a mortar and pestle can appear aggressive, and applying too much force can make your ingredients fly everywhere. Use finesse. Be gentle but thorough. Take the time to blend things evenly.
This card tells you that something in your life needs to be better incorporated. It could be as simple as integrating your practice into daily life, or something more complex, like finding balance between two relationships. Whatever it is, take it slow or you'll scatter what you're trying to integrate.
REFLECTION
What parts of your life do you need to blend more seamlessly?

Right: SALT
PROTECTION, BANISHING NEGATIVITY
CARD MEANING: Salt is essential to life. This mineral is so precious that it has been used as currency at times in history when its collection was labor-intensive and time-consuming. It is an all-purpose component, used to create barriers to protect you, as a purifying ingredient in various blessing or holy waters, and as a cleansing implement that removes unwanted energy from tools or spaces.
The Salt card reminds you that you have easy means to dispel negativity and protect yourself. You don't have to struggle! Salt is your partner in self-defense. Draw boundaries and keep yourself guarded against negativity.
Remember to keep the energy surrounding you as clean as possible.

Update - New Year Card Pull

Moon (Left Card)
PHASES, CYCLES, INTUITION
CARD MEANING: The pale glowing moon is visible at different degrees throughout its monthly cycle. Even though its appearance changes, the moon is always present. Take solace in knowing nature is always there for you.
The waxing and waning of the moon reminds you that nothing is static, and that change is both inevitable and healthy; you just may not be able to see it all the time.
The phases of the moon represent various energies as manifested in the growth and retreat cycle of nature itself.
Nothing is ever at a standstill in the natural world, and the same goes for the energy flowing inside you. Sometimes you may find you retreat into yourself, and other times, you reach outward for help. The Moon card asks you to trust what your intuition tells you to do.

Harvest (Middle Card)
DETERMINATION, HARD WORK
CARD MEANING: Harvest time means hard work. It's time to reap the results of sowing and tending, and that usually means a lot of effort concentrated in a short period of time. This time can be just as exhausting as when you sowed your seeds, but it is a necessary part of the successful growing season.
Sometimes you might think that it's all about sitting back and enjoying the fruits of your labor. It's important to appreciate your success, but don't lose your way. The Harvest card directs you to collect your bounty, to recognize your blessings, and to not stop working too early. You're almost there, but you still have things to see through.
Work to recoup the energy you previously invested.

Sow (Right Card)
PLANNING, SETTING INTENTIONS, OPTIMISM
CARD MEANING: Seeds may be the nebulous concept, and soil the fertile ground to nourish them, but the act of sowing is what unites the two and initializes the process of germination. When you sow seeds, you scatter them in or on the earth, asking the soil to help them grow. For a time, the seeds have to remain quiet underground before they can launch into the world. This dormancy allows them the opportunity to gather strength.
The Sow card tells you that now is the optimal time to set things in motion. Plant your seeds and nurture them.
Lock in your intentions and take the first steps along the path you've planned. Act now for future yield. Prime your material and environment for the best outcome. If you've been hesitating, now is the time to act.

Closing out the year feeling deeply grateful.

My very first Reiki client ever, when I opened my doors in 2025, was also my final session of the year. Same soul, different chapters. It felt like a quiet reminder of how gently this work unfolds, always exactly as it’s meant to.

I look forward to continuing to hold space for all my clients in 2026.

Reiki isn’t magic.
It’s your body remembering it’s safe to breathe again.

Reiki works because your body already knows how to calm itself when the right conditions are there.
Slow breathing. Gentle, steady hands. Quiet presence.
Nothing forced. Nothing to believe in.

It’s simply your nervous system shifting out of survival mode and into rest.

When that happens, things soften.
The body settles.
The mind gets quieter.
You can finally exhale.

Reiki isn’t about someone “doing” something to you.
It’s about giving your body permission to reset in a safe, supportive space.

You don’t need to be spiritual.
You don’t need to understand energy.
You just need to show up as you are.

Gratitude invites you into the present moment. It softens the nervous system, reminding you that even in uncertainty, there is still something steady beneath your feet. When you practice gratitude, you stop postponing peace and begin honoring what is already holding you.

Surrender deepens that practice by releasing the need to control how life unfolds. It teaches you to trust that what is aligned will not require force, and that what passes was never meant to stay. Together, gratitude and surrender create space for faith instead of fear, and calm instead of resistance.

This is how trust becomes a way of living, not just a fleeting feeling.
