Interesting that this organization (funded by META, Google and YouTube) “strongly discourages the use of the addiction framing”!!! You don’t say?! 🤔

Today it is confirmed, and are addictive by design! Like many of us have been saying all along!

Both plan to appeal because they too don’t like the word “addiction”!

These companies cannot be trusted.

Follow the money.

Thank you to all who fought!
Thank you to the parents and families for sharing your pain! We honour the memories of those not here to celebrate and we lift you up!!

Thank you to the legal teams! To the jury for their heartfelt deliberations. To and for your hours of coverage.

This is a bittersweet day but a day of change and reckoning!

Yes, there is much work to do, but we can take this day to pause and celebrate!

Getting ready for another youth group talk this Friday night!

Pray for me!

It is sooooo hard to say all the things I feel the kids need to know without saying “too much” at the same time!

The most delicate and critical balance.

But adults, we do more damage by not saying anything. Kids need to know the truth about what they will find online, how it will affect them and what to do about it.

We must break the illusion!

OnlyFans is marketing a massive lie.

And many have been sucked in.

One of the hardest parts of public speaking is not being able to talk intimately with people and find out what they are truly struggling with!

I’d love to meet with each family and find out what’s going on to brainstorm options and come up with customized strategies for their children!!

NOW we can do that! 💃🏻

I’ve set up consultation options through my website so anyone can discuss concerns about kids n tech, 🌽 exposure, social media harms, etc. privately over zoom regardless of where you live!!!!

I can’t wait to help families in this practical way. Please share with your friends and let’s support each other.

Please ❤️and share this post.

I confess, I get a major dopamine dump when I get a positive review 😋

If you have had a chance to hear me speak would you take a minute to leave a review? The link is on the final slide.

Apparently it helps boost my business online 🤔we’ll see!

Thank you.

Critical conversations about what kids will be exposed to in ONE CLICK!

If you have given or plan to give your child a smartphone or their own device, how have you coached them to be vigilant online? Have you told them what to do when they see 🌽? If not, please don’t give them their own device.

🌽 will find them!

Are you prepared for them to see this - last side has a description of a typical scene.

Giving children their own private connection to the internet is putting a lot of pressure on them!

Parents need to take back that responsibility!!

⭐️Delay giving them their own device.
⭐️10 conversations about 🌽 before 10.
⭐️Educating children on how special and private their bodies are and how sx is a gift, not a weapon or tool or something we watch, record and consume.
⭐️No devices in the bedroom ever or in private places with no supervision ie.sleepovers
⭐️What to do when they see it - run and tell you!
⭐️and as they get older - why it’s harmful and how it will rewire the brain and educate desire.

More tips for healthy conversation by age on my website!

Here are 5 questions to help you raise the tech conversation in your next parent-teacher interview!

These are all based on research presented in the book Digital Delusion by .cooney.horvath !

You don’t have to be an expert parents but just by raising these questions we force teachers and schools to think critically of screens and tech in the classroom and it reminds them that not all of us are ok with the way things are going.

If you have not yet read this book, I highly recommend doing so before you gift it to your teacher or school administration. 😉
