Even if all of our street family were housed today, we would still have homelessness in Indigenous communities. Why? Canada's child welfare system is a leading cause of Indigenous homelessness. The system severs Indigenous children from the circles of relationships that root them. Watch the Gitxsan Nation build longhouses, providing a safe haven for their children. Culturally appropriate, decolonized care and support ensures a nurturing environment and fosters personal and intergenerational healing. Let's create lasting change together.
