Even if all of our street family were housed today, we would still have homelessness in Indigenous communities. Why? Canada's child welfare system is a leading cause of Indigenous homelessness. The system severs Indigenous children from the circles of relationships that root them. Watch the Gitxsan Nation build longhouses, providing a safe haven for their children. Meet Daniel, an inspiring individual. Despite challenges with disability, cancer, HIV, and addiction, he embraces these challenges as gifts that led to housing and a wheelchair. Today, he empowers the Two-Spirit and gay community, breaking barriers and shattering homelessness stigmas.

Angel's story is one of hope and resilience. Despite experiencing unstable housing, she found her way through the kindness of strangers and social workers, and an incredible amount of courage and strength. Now at 21, Angel is thriving and encourages her siblings and other youth to live a better life.
