🎶Valentine's Day Love and Warm Generosity at Amenida💕
At Amenida Seniors Community, we celebrated a Valentine's Day filled with love and heartwarming memories! 🌹❤️
To make the day special, we presented each of our residents with beautiful red roses and handmade cards. Seeing our seniors' faces light up with bright, youthful smiles as they received their flowers filled the entire community with joyful energy.
We were also honored by a special visit from the National Unification Advisory Council (NUAC). They joined our celebration and brought generous gifts, including boxes of premium pears, to share with our residents. 🎁✨
Together, we enjoyed a delicious meal of Gimbap, took group photos with high spirits, and created another unforgettable memory.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude to the members of the NUAC for taking the time out of their busy schedules to bring such warmth and kindness to our seniors. At Amenida, we will continue to do our best to ensure every day feels as sweet and full of love as Valentine's Day! 🙇‍♂️🙇‍♀️

A Heartwarming New Year Celebration with Korean Seniors in Vancouver!

On February 11th, 2026, Amenida Seniors Community had the distinct honor of being invited to the Korean Senior Citizen Society of Greater Vancouver’s special New Year event. 🍲✨
Our GM Rosa and AGM Ivory joined the celebration to serve traditional rice cakes and share warm New Year greetings with our beloved Korean seniors.
The event was made even more special by the presence of Minister Anne Kang and many other distinguished community leaders and dignitaries who came to show their support. We shared a meaningful time listening to a New Year’s address from Mr. Woo-seok Lee, President of the Korean Veterans Association, and enjoying a delicious bowl of Tteokguk (rice cake soup) together.
Seeing the bright smiles on the seniors' faces was truly the highlight of our day. At Amenida, we remain committed to being a supportive partner to the Korean community and caring for our seniors with love and devotion.

지난주, 아메니다에서 12년을 함께하신 **고(故) 노갑희 어머님(향년 102세)**의 삶을 기리는 천국환송예배를 드렸습니다. 예배 후, 가족분들께서는 어머님의 삶의 모든 순간을 함께 걸어온 아메니다 직원들에게 전하고 싶은 마음을 이 편지에 담아 주셨습니다.

*“친절과 사랑으로 가득 찬 아메니다 천사님들께:
사랑으로 어머니의 생명을 지켜 주신 천사님들,
어머니가 외로워할 때 찾아와 말 벗이 되어 주시고
어머니가 두려워할 때 찬송가를 불러 주며 위로해 주시고
어머니가 침울할 때 아기의 재롱을 떨며 웃게 해주시고
어머니의 모습이 흐트러 졌을 때 예쁘다고 하며 머리를 빗겨 주시고
어머니가 잠 못 이룰 때 가슴을 도닥이며 자장가를 불러 주시고
어머니가 고통스러울 때 이마에 손을 얹고 기도해 주시고
어머니가 음식을 넘기지 못할 때 달래가며 먹여 주시고

With the family’s permission, we share this heartfelt message written by the children of one of our residents. This letter sincerely reflects the meaning of life and care at Amenida Seniors Community.

Last week, we gathered to celebrate the life of Mrs. Ro Gab Hee, who lived at Amenida for 12 years and passed at the remarkable age of 102. Following her 천국환송예배 (Celebration of Life service), her family shared this letter with us—expressing their gratitude to the Amenida team who walked alongside their mother through every moment of her life.

*“To the Amenida angels, who are filled with kindness and love:
To the angels who protected my mother’s life with love, When my mother felt lonely, you came to her and became her light. When she was afraid, you sang hymns to comfort her. When she became withdrawn, you shook a baby rattle and made her smile. When her appearance became frail, you told her she was beautiful and gently brushed her hair. When she could not sleep, you softly patted her chest and sang lullabies. When she was in pain, you placed your hands on her forehead and prayed for her. When she could not swallow food, you patiently coaxed her and fed her. When she could no longer care for herself, you washed her and dressed her. When she could no longer tell front from back, you became her hands and her feet. When she became exhausted, you felt sorrow for her and shed tears quietly in your hearts. When her soul departed, you looked toward heaven and waved goodby. You promise to meet her free and liberated soul again in heaven, among the angels of love. We will hold Amenida’s love and gratitude in our hearts forever."*

This month, we honored 12 of our beloved residents with a party they won’t soon forget.
The highlight of the day was definitely Ivory’s witty and engaging hosting, which kept everyone entertained and feeling special.
