‼️Sharing my first post in the Physiotherapy credentialing process series for all the international practitioners

✅ To become a Registered Physiotherapist in Canada, it is mandatory for all the internationally educated physiotherapists to get their credentials evaluated from Canadian Alliance of Physiotherapy Regulators (CAPR) as the first step.
It is a tedious, financially draining process filled with complex steps😅
I'll try my level best to simplify it😇 All the information posted is taken from the official CAPR website📕📚Link will be posted at the end.

✨ Feel free to drop your questions in the comment section or DM me☺️

Stay tuned!😋

♦️Lesson 5
" Understanding and being within your scope of practice."
Physical Therapy is a regulatory practice in Canada with strong ethical principles🥸One of them is understanding the dos✅and don'ts❎of the profession and being within it. This helps in protecting your license which is earned with lot of hardwork, emphasizes standardised practice guidelines, avoids unethical behaviour, enables professional collaboration and keeps you in a good standing with the provincial body which opens up new opportunities in future🤩💖

⭕️ Lesson 1
"Knowing your body!"
🌟 The musculoskeletal structure has the ability to amaze you with its beautiful miracles. It can learn, relearn, compensate, protect and regulate one's movement pattern. There is no ideal movement pattern to avoid aches and pain but when you know your impairments, it's impact on daily life and how to manage them, you can surely function optimally which will help in living a pain free life.

✅So I learned to identify my muscle impairments, abnormal movement patterns, acknowledge my body response (muscle ache and pain) to limitations (muscle capacity/ trick movements), working through it ( working out to activate right muscles and limit the use of wrong muscles), inculcating the new learned skills in daily life and then preaching it with right cues.

‼️Knowing your body helps in understanding client's body's abnormal responses and working in the right direction😊
