BIG NEWS!! We want to give a huge welcome to Dr. Sara Pentlicky, a board-certified OBGYN who has joined our team! Moving here from Philadelphia, Sara has done a fellowship and is a specialist in Family Planning (that means an expert in complex contraception, abortion care, procedures, abnormal bleeding, PCOS, difficulties conceiving, and more!). Some of her past work includes working at Planned Parenthood of the Great Northwest and Hawaiian islands. We are accepting referrals for her and the referral form is up on our website at www.safersix.ca to have a doctor refer you.

We are HIRING. Swipe the images for full details We are looking for a receptionist to work at least 15 hours a week between both clinic locations! At least 1+ years customer service/admin experience, computer skills and experience working in a busy environment is an asset however training will be provided. We are encouraging applicants who identify as part of the 2SLGBTQAI+ and BIPOC community as we recognize these communities are not equally represented in the workforce.

WELCOME DR. SHIN! 💕 We are soooo excited (and fortunate!) to be welcoming Dr. Shin to the Safer Six team! She will be doing some evening and weekend clinics with us at our Downtown clinic location! 🎉 Help us give her a big warm welcome!!

She completed her medical school training in Thunder Bay and her family medicine residency at Queen’s University. She is currently finishing a fellowship in Women’s Health at the University of Toronto. She has always had a strong passion for primary care and sexual health, and is really looking forward to bringing that focus into her work here. Outside of medicine, this summer she became a mom to a “mini” goldendoodle 🐶 , now 9 months old, and definitely grown past his mini label! In her downtime, she also loves getting creative with arts and crafts.

It has been so great having Dr Homme with us these last few weeks! Paige is a family doctor doing their fellowship in 2SLGBTQ Health, and we have been lucky to have them with us! 🌈 FUN FACT: they also did a medical school rotation with Dr Bennett 5 years ago! 😁

WELCOME SAM!! 🌈 Sam is a 4th year medical student who is working with our team at both clinic locations over the next two weeks so be sure to say hi! She hopes to do a residency in public health, so working with us in our clinic while thinking about things from a public health perspective is really great! 🙌

Did you know that IUDs are the most effective method of contraception with minimal unwanted side effects? People are afraid of the insertion process, however did you know we offer options for cervical pain management to make your experience more comfortable and supportive! If you are thinking of an IUD or would like to discuss with one of our doctors, book a “Birth Control New” appointment at www.safersix.ca or have your primary care provider/family doctor send us a referral! 💕
