Uninsured Services

​

Some services including sick notes, forms, drivers medicals etc are not covered by OHIP. You will be charged for them according to the rates recommended by the Ontario Medical Association. Please see the list of uninsured services available at our reception.

Courtesy



It is important for us at Kingsway Medical Centre to provide a safe and welcoming environment for all of our patients and staff. We ask that everyone attending the clinic behave in a respectful manner towards staff and other patients at all times. If behaviour is deemed to be at odds with this policy we reserve the right to recommend a patient to seek care elsewhere.

Cancellations



We require cancellations to be made at least one business day prior to your appointment. If you miss an appointment or cancel with insufficient notice you will be billed the cost if the visit.



We value your time and will strive to see you at your scheduled appointment time. If you are late for your appointment we may ask you to wait until the last patient has been seen or you may be asked to reschedule.

Appointments



All visits to the clinic are by appointment only. We aim to provide timely access to appointments at the clinic, minimizing the need for walk-in clinic use. To achieve this goal we offer both routine and urgent appointments.



Routine appointments should be booked with your own family physician at the clinic. If possible, please let our administrative staff know the reason for your visit. This helps us to allocate the right amount of time for your appointment.



We aim to see patients for urgent care visits on the same day. These are reserved for issues that cannot wait until the next business day. Please try to call to arrange an urgent visit as early as possible in the day.



Please note it is clinic policy to not allow transfers of patients between physicians within our clinic.
