After 50, women’s bodies often need a different approach, a large reason why I became a yoga instructor. That’s why I’m inviting you to join me at the Women’s Longevity Summit, a free online event with real conversations about strength, metabolism, sleep, energy, hormones, brain health, and resilience.

On Day 3, I’ll be speaking about Finding Yourself Again After 50: Reclaim Your Voice, Identity and Confidence — a conversation about reconnecting with who you are in this season of life.

Have you been doing all the “right” things and still feeling like your body has changed the rules after 50?

You’re not imagining it. Women’s health in this stage of life deserves better, more honest conversations — and that’s exactly what the Women’s Longevity Summit is about.

This free online event brings together real guidance on rebuilding strength, supporting metabolism, improving sleep, restoring energy, and understanding the hormone and brain health shifts many women are navigating.

I’m honoured to be speaking on Day 3 about:
Finding Yourself Again After 50: Reclaim Your Voice, Identity and Confidence

This is a topic close to my heart, and one I know so many women need.

One of the best parts of travel is discovering great food.
Last month’s video is the first one I’ve done focused entirely on restaurants in Puerto Vallarta. If you’re planning a visit — or just dreaming about one — these are four fun spots worth trying.

And if you’ve been to Puerto Vallarta, I’d love to hear from you.

What restaurants would you add to the list?

We talk a lot about longevity — but is a longer life the same as a fuller one? Last month’s Lifeshiift feature looked at Joyspan by Dr. Kerry Burnight and the question of how long we stay engaged, connected, and truly alive.

If you're looking for a compelling read, I definitely suggest you read this book (or start with our feature https://lifeshiift.com/2026/03/16/were-living-longerbut-are-we-living-better/ )

When I was married, living in a Greek neighbourhood meant Easter was a big event. My late husband John and I usually hosted the family dinner. Some years that meant 20+ people around the table and a full-blown Easter egg hunt.

John was the mastermind behind the hunt. He wrote rhyming clues for the kids to follow, which earned him the very official title of “The Rhyming Rabbit.”

This year I’m hosting Easter dinner again — but with far fewer guests, and without my Rhyming Rabbit. Still, the tradition continues. My sisters and I will honour the custom and have our own egg hunt.

It’s funny how even a small gathering can feel like a big undertaking at this stage of life. I’m approaching the day with a mix of anticipation… and a little trepidation.

Let me know if you have spring celebrations coming up — and how you feel beforehand. Excited? Overwhelmed? Somewhere in between?

As I gear up for Easter dinner, I’m reminding myself that whatever I’m worrying about probably won’t be nearly as difficult as my imagination suggests, I hope you can do the same. Happy Easter, everyone :)

Spring seems to be having commitment issues this year.
One day it’s warm sunshine… the next day snow again.
But something is definitely shifting.
The days are getting longer.
The snow in my back garden is finally receding.
And the first brave shoots are poking up through the soil while the buds on my lilac bush are getting plump and ready.

Preparing for end-of-life choices is an act of care that can ease future decisions and reduce the emotional burden on loved ones. When loss occurs, grief can make it difficult to think clearly, yet important, time-sensitive decisions must still be made.

This informative and practical session will help you understand what can be done in advance—at no cost—so your wishes are clear and respected. Taking time to plan ahead can significantly reduce stress for those you care about most.

This month’s blog looks at the book Joyspan: The Art and Science of Thriving in the Second Half of Life by gerontologist Kerry Burnight.
Many Lifeshiifters are already doing the things she recommends—but the book offers a simple framework for cultivating joy in this stage of life.
Her four key ingredients for a joyful life are:
Grow
Connect
Adapt
Give
Simple ideas. Powerful impact.

The Catherine I met almost thirty years ago was an aggressive, independent career woman with a wicked sense of humour. She was great fun to be with—full of energy, opinions, and advent...
