Every year, we start with big dreams and bigger plans—this will be the year we finally reach our goals.

But by December? The enthusiasm has faded, and we’re wondering, What went wrong? »

 Here’s what no one talks about: Setting goals without reflection is like trying to build a house without a foundation.

✨ Can reflection really boost your health goals? Absolutely.
Here’s why: Reflection gives you clarity about what truly works for YOU.

When you reflect, you’re no longer setting generic resolutions like “I’ll lose weight” or “I’ll eat better.”

When you reflect, you’re no longer setting vague resolutions like “I’ll lose weight” or “I’ll eat better,” which lack direction and clarity.

Instead, you’re creating aligned goals—specific, actionable steps that honor your current lifestyle and move you toward what truly matters to you.

✨ For example:
* Instead of “I’ll eat better,” try: “I’ll swap my afternoon snack for a handful of nuts and a piece of fruit to keep my energy steady.”
* Instead of “I’ll get healthier,” try: “I’ll drink a glass of water first thing in the morning and prioritize 7 hours of sleep every night.”

Are you mindlessly scrolling through this feed to escape life’s stresses, seeking that solution to shed the extra pounds, or just needing a cozy corner to unwind? 🤔
Have you ever stood on the scale, feeling a bit taken aback by the numbers? 🤯 OR suddenly, you’re asking, « 40? 50? How did time slip by so quickly?”

Do thoughts like « I’m too old to change «  or « It’s too late » cross your mind? 🤔

Well, guess what? I’ve been there too! 🙌

After years spent mindlessly juggling work and family, the quest for health and vitality becomes even more profound ,and embracing my calling to be a health advocate has never felt more strong 💪

As a physician, a mother, a woman over 40, and proudly Canadian Palestinian, the question lingers: « Is now the right time to restart my social media journey? » 💔 Especially when my heart aches witnessing another tragedy, happening in real time to my people.My world feels like it’s crumbling, and it’s not the first time But the worst in my lifetime.

In the midst of chaos, I pondered the relevance of health talks when my people struggle for basic necessities. 🍞💧 The Prophet’s words (peace be upon him) echoed: « If the hour comes and in the hand of one of you is a seedling, let him plant it.”

🌱 It hit me—hiding won’t serve anyone. Despite fears, I realized my duty to contribute and serve until the end. 🌍 So, as a new year dawns, I’ve decided to face my fears, share my journey, of restarting life after 40 ,and add a torch to the health awareness campaign. 🕊️.

Brain Loving Recipe SPICY-SWEET GREEN SMOOTHIE

🧐🍍When you think “healthy breakfast” what’s one of the first foods that pops into your mind?

If it’s a green smoothie, you’re not alone! But this recipe isn’t just for breakfast because it also would make an ideal snack to help boost your veggie and fruit intake.

You’ll see that it includes frozen grapes. I have a couple of tips:

✅TIP 1: Wash and dry your grapes thoroughly, then spread them out on a freezer-safe sheet pan. Put the pan in the freezer until the grapes are frozen (about an hour), then transfer them to a freezer-safe container or bag.

This stops them from freezing together.

✅TIP 2: Frozen grapes can be quick & healthy snack straight out of the freezer.

Pineapple Green Smoothie
(Serves 1)

1 cup (150 grams) chopped fresh or frozen pineapple
1 cup (30 grams) packed chopped spinach
1 cup (95 grams) green grapes, frozen
Juice of ½ lemon
1 tsp grated fresh ginger
1 tsp ground flaxseed
1-2 Tbsp your milk alternative, water, or coconut water, as needed
½ scoop vanilla protein powder (optional)

Place all the ingredients in a high-speed blender and blend until smooth. Add liquid (milk alternative, water, or coconut water) as needed if the mixture is too thick.

Pour into a glass and drink up! 😋

Brain Loving Recipe AVOCADO PESTO

🥑🧑‍🍳This pesto recipe is SO delicious and rich in brain loving food , like avocado , walnuts , nutritional yeast and olive oil

Use it as a sauce on burgers, over your veggies

It gets its lush texture from avocados, which means it’s loaded with healthy fats.

Once you master this recipe as written, feel free to change up the herbs and nuts based on what you have on hand or what your tastebuds are telling you.

Try parsley, tarragon, cilantro, dill, or a combo of herbs.

You also can swap out the walnuts for pistachios, pine nuts, or h**p seeds.

✅This recipe will keep 4-5 days in the refrigerator, but be sure to completely cover with plastic wrap. Place the wrap directly on the surface of the pesto to help prevent the avocados from browning.

Avocado Pesto
(makes 16 servings)

1 large bunch of fresh basil (or other herb)
2 ripe avocados
½ cup (60 g) walnuts
Juice of 1 lemon
3 cloves garlic
½ tsp sea salt
¼ tsp finely ground black pepper
¼ cup (20 g) nutritional yeast
½ cup (120 ml) extra-virgin olive oil

Remove the stems from the herbs, and place in a food processor along with the avocados, nuts, lemon juice, garlic, salt, pepper, and nutritional yeast. Pulse until well chopped and combined. Then, process the mixture as you slowly drizzle in the oil until it forms a thick paste.

Taste and add more salt and pepper if necessary. Serve as a sauce over veggies, burgers

**Listen up, lovely ladies !!
Struggling with chronic Fatigue?
You aren’t alone.💕

Do you know I struggled with chronic fatigue and how stressed I was because of it?🤭

Do you know that I hit my breaking point when I began to lose focus and battle with brain fog, which terrified me?

I can deal with tiredness, body aches, and bloating, but my brain is my most valuable asset as a physician!!😳

Do you know that was the moment I realized I needed to get out of the hole I'd dug for myself?😓

Today, I'm overjoyed to be able to share that.😀

I was able to totally recover using the principles of **Functional Medicine, specifically Root Cause Analysis and Treatment**, rather than the symptomatic treatment provided by conventional medicine.

As a conventionally trained medical doctor, I was ill-equipped to deal with this dilemma;( chronic Fatigue )

I couldn't even help myself, let alone my patients suffering from the same issue.

Not any longer, and I'm eternally grateful to God Almighty for introducing me to Functional Medicine and all of the wonderful mentors.

It's time to share what I've learned and help ladies hurting like I was.

A warm hearty welcome. 🤍❤️🤍My name is Ghada Eid, and I'm a 20-year-experienced internist.

I love my work when what I did made a difference in other people's lives and health, but after 20 years of hospital work, 🚑

I was overworked, burned out, 😰and devastated 😠the at how the conventional model of medicine is very limited in its ability to help people become healthy ( means disease free)

🤍😀Imagine my surprise and delight when I stumbled upon Functional Medicine by accident ( funny story will tell you about it later )

🤍Unfortunately, few doctors are aware of this science-based medicine (I'll explain why later)
, which empowers both the physician and the patient to reverse chronic disease and live a healthy and happy life.

🤍In the darkest moment of my life, when I didn't expect any medicine to help me, I tried its principles on myself, and to my amazement , my anxiety vanished, my fatigue and muscle aches just faded away, and my brain fog was cleared in less than one week, and I even lost weight, incredible isn't it?
