Here's another pranayama practice for you: Bhastrika Pranayama.
Can be practiced daily, right after Kapalabhati Pranayama.

Pranayama practices are wonderful for regulating your nervous system.
Try this one out.

Again thank you and for all the teachings you've passed down. For dedicating your lives to the practice of yoga. For honouring the lineages of teachers that have held this practice sacred for so many decades.

Namaste!

How to do Kapalbhati Pranayama.
My favourite. I will practice this in the morning, or when I'm feeling very stressed out and my energy is sporadic.

If you have any questions feel free to leave them down below and I'll answer them!
Thank you for teaching this with so much reverence and respect for the practice.

Fear...
We build up these walls so we don't experience fear. We try to create these lives of comfort, instead we create walls upon walls so high, we build a castle around our selves. And we stay within the confines of this finite reality, blocking off anything that's beyond.
The infinite is beyond, but we're too afraid to explore it. Were afraid of letting go because we don't know what lies beyond. Infinite means anything is possible and most of us are afraid of the unpredictability of endless possibilities.
I used to be a person who took many risks, and I did so with an open heart. But I've found myself confined in the comforts of the castle I build around myself lately.
Maybe it's the pandemic, maybe I'm afraid, but all I know is that there's no way I can stay trapped in my comfortable castle much longer.
It's time to break free, loosen the bo***ge I've tied around myself.

Who's with me on this one?

Happy Sunday y'all!

I spent the day organizing, preparing and cleaning. I missed most of the gorgeousness outside, but I'm feeling relieved I got to prepare for the week ahead.
Now it's time to draw a bath and chill!

Hope y'all had a great day!

Oftentimes, we believe that happiness is the absence of difficulties, adversity, or anything negative.
Everything must go "perfectly" in order for us to feel content in the present moment.
Really, happiness is a choice we make despite what's "lacking" or less than perfect in our lives.
Everyday, we must choose.

I have no interest in beating around the bush.
It's my strength and weakness. It's my strength when the words come out well and my weakness when I don't think before I speak.
So inherently it's actually a gift. But like a tool, it can be used for good and it can be used to hurt.
My life, I've been too honest coupled with too naiive and you have a walking door mat.
Realizing that my voice is a powerful tool, I'm on a lifelong journey to learn to speak with integrity, and kindness.
So far I've learned how to set up boundaries without feeling afraid, and by being kind and respectful.
Sometimes I do a good job, other times there's room for improvement.

But the good thing about me is that I'm not afraid of saying "I'm sorry".
Meditation tonight at 7pm EST.
Free for all, and all are welcome! So please share this with anyone who'd like to join our weekly meditation space.

I struggle with what psychologists call impsoter syndrome.
Which is defined as, doubting your abilities and feeling like a fraud and finding it difficult to accept your accomplishments.
But at the end to the day it's a narrative I repeat consistently in my head. It's as if I'm responsible for my own bo***ge, holding my self hostage to a narrative that no longer serves me.
It's what has kept me from feeling(or should I say thinking) like I wasn't "good enough" to teach yoga for many years.
This year is about letting it ALL go!
What is a narrative you hold on to that no longer is serving you? I'd love to hear from you all. Tell me down below.
Free Yoga class tonight. 7pm EST. Link is in my bio.

I look forward to our class tonight y'all!

Life is limited by our limited perception.

I accept the fact that I don't know everything. Even if it feels like I have all the facts I always believe it's super important to take a step back and question.
It can be so easy to get caught up in the emotional turbine of chaos, of our our attachments.
But there is no peace in chaos, and it's just that, we get hurled round and round, unless we chose to step away, and watch everything objectively.
I don't believe we need to be an active participant in chaos, it's okay to walk away, it's okay to take your time before you speak. Give yourself that permission.
We live in a very fast action oriented society, where being slow, and taking your time even with your thoughts is seen as inferior.
But it's not, unless YOU chose that for yourself.

Happy Monday y'all.
Reminder that our community class is coming up this Wednesday at 7pm EST.
All are welcome, so share this with anyone you think would like to join our community.

I no longer recognize who I am...but I feel whole in who I am. I feel grounded in my values, in my why, in my purpose.

I used to feel broken. I used to feel like every morning I had to put all the pieces back together.

Can you imagine how effing exhausting that is? Can you imagine if you where physically broken and had to put each piece back together? Like a puzzle.

All I have been asking myself lately is, "who am I? Really who the f am I?"
I'll leave you with that for today.

Love,

Gledis
