The perception of beauty ideal is constantly changing, and as a society, we live under constant pressure trying to adapt those beauty standards in our lives.
We constantly see a lot of bodies with cosmetic intervention or unrealistic ideals of how our body should look like. This body ideal leads most women to experience feelings of depression, helplessness, and self-devaluation.
Keep in mind that cosmetic surgery is a booming industry that through mass media, they try to increase pressure in women to look young and beautiful, promoting the "body-changing culture".
So, YES, it is normal to experience this kind of pressure due to the saturated images we constantly see on ADS, TV Shows, Social Media, etc.
The best solution for that is to keep in mind that the information you see online is not true and realistic, and it is unfair for you to compare yourself with standards that don't exist. It is also crucial for you to understand that you are responsible for the information you consume, try to follow accounts that make you motivated, and remove those that make you feel that you are not worth it. YOU ARE ALREADY VALUABLE JUST THE WAY YOU ARE! 💫💫💫💫
